| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Oh boy, Dakki is back Oh wait, it's actually Yozen. Dakki really does return though with her group and to be honest, every time I see her, she's up to something malevolent. Drama hit the roof this episode though... Yozen's abilities kinda impresses me. Compared to the previous two episodes, this one felt more lightearted and had less violence. |

| Jesus christ, week after week I get more and more horrified looking at how clusterfuckerous this show is getting. I'm only understanding the plotline because I've already read the whole manga some years ago and I'm really fond of it, otherwise, I would be completely lost and not caring at all about the characters. Hakyu Houshin Engi is a complete butcher of a really great manga, and the direction is very bad, picking events from the beggining, from the middle and from later and mixing them altogether, making this monstrous mess. At least the visuals are great and it has some really nice shots, but otherwise I only feel sad seeing a manga that I love being this butchered. |

| I just can't keep up with this. As others have said, the pacing (and transitions) are just off. I've never read the manga, but this definitely feels like I'm missing something/was expected to have already read the manga. The animation is nice, I love the OP, and it's great to see these 90s style character designs again, but... Dropped (Also, I can't get over the giant Kingdom Hearts shoes everyone is wearing.) |
because this show's fast pace crammed a season's worth of material into 4 episodes...thus turning off everybody especially the manga readers and make people not care about (and/or hate) the characters and story |
