Those talking cats in this show.
I didn't notice it too much but they really take attention with their oddball personalities.

Also interesting to note the diverse settings for this season. One minute, it's in the underworld, now it's part of some snowy mountain area. Must be freezing there...

Finally a great episode on par with the first season; too bad they're so far between in this one.

Koban really trying yet ending up with practically the same result was funny; that cat's not cut out for non-tabloid journalism, isn't he. The Cold Hell minion named after Spring was basically a more arrogant version of Nasubi, I feel. And I agree with Karauri, this might be the first time we've seen Hoozuki really fight. Oh well, the snowball fight winner was decided the moment he agreed to participate though lol

What a cool cat!
And ofc it's Wakamoto Norio's voice

I like how the reindeer demon said "Chiisai stressu" which means small stress.. but the subs said "microagression"
Wait a minute... IS THAT A MICROAGRESSION????

RIP cold hell demons, he actually threw the "snowballs" the sharp side xD

I've been waiting nine episodes for an episode as funny as one from S1. As much as I like the new characters and how we're getting introduced to far more folklore than before, the strength of the first season was its absurd humor.

Anyway, an episode with Koban is bound to be good, and this one did not disappoint. Even when he tries to be supportive of his interviewee, he still ends up twisting it. And yes, the Santa Claus reference was too big to ignore.

"The Cold Hells want to secede" Well, I guess Houzuki gave them a very good reason to reconsider.

I think this season has been as good as season 1. But to be honest, I'm probably missing half of the humor since it's so culture-specific. Still a good anime, not emotionally overwhelming, but solid entertainment every week.
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

What the... with that "pretty" cat, it's so creepy. Shiver down the spine every time I think it maybe some kind of "Transgender" cat.
After that, comes the "Cold" Hell. Not literally, but real cold Hell. Still, when it come to fighting no one can beat Hoozuki. And he's just using a frozen banana. LOL

Exactly. In addition to the wacky humor, the pacing in the first season was much better handled, the explanatory fragments were interspersed with little funny moments that helped a lot both with the pacing and the mood so it didn't feel like a boring college culture/history lecture. There also were little twists added here and there to make even the more plain segment look more meaningful and to make the show more uniform overall, without the huge ups and downs this season is suffering from.

I feel the worst fallout from the change of the studio is in direction: while the visual component doesn't look different, talented and creative direction the first season had is what the current season desperately lacks.

In this episode we get a metrosexual cat riding a Segway who bites sinners in their junk, and he's voiced by Norio Wakamoto.

THIS SERIES IS AWESOME.

Also it seems that Hoozuki took a page from Achewood's 'The Great Outdoor Fight' as he not only breaks the rules, he makes new ones and forces them on unwilling participants, heh. So badass.

Stuff like that annoys me, I wish they would translate things accurately.

Shiro is so cute.

They didn't explain what the snake does to unfaithful women, maybe it doesn't do anything or it something really gross.
