Just finish reading the remake version

I must say it was a great read. This novel sure reminds me a lot of Hakomari, from the writing style to the insanity of the characters.

The afterword also leave us with some insight to Mikage-sensei past as a student.

Overall, I would give this a 9/10. If you are a fan of Hakomari or any other works of Mikage-sensei, then this is surely a must read

I just read the remake version, as well and it was indeed a refreshing read.

"each one of us is living in their own enclosed world; despite having the same thing before our eyes, our interpretations of it is never the same."
This was my favorite quote in the story.

I always welcome wicked characters and unpredicted plot twists in a novel. Although this work was lacking the latter component, I think that it was still outstanding in terms of characters interaction.
I just can't help but enjoy this type of stories that prioritize dealing with the inner conflicts of characters more than anything else.

recommended to anyone who's tired of reading 'typical' romance stories.

This is a toned down HakoMari. I enjoyed this work quite a bit but it was left underdeveloped. It felt too much like a rip-off of my favourite piece of literature coupled with the suspense being cut down. The main storyline ending at chapter 9 was a heavy surprise; it was shortlived. Decent read.
