Yeah, it leaked. I won't say where, but it was uploaded yesterday so it'll be everywhere soon.

Big Lupin fan, so I didn't wanna wait for this to get subbed. First time watching something like this raw. It was...okay. I can tell I probably didn't miss much by not understanding the dialogue. Very well animated, animation wise it definitely blows the other Takeshi Koike Lupin stuff out of the water. The plot was simple enough that I managed to somewhat follow it. The action scenes sort of deliver. Goemon's more violent than ever but he's shown more swordsmanship skill in other specials, namely Angel Tactics. The final showdown between Goemon and the other assassin was kind of underwhelming. The injuries Goemon sustained made it look like the dude was holding back, especially considering the previous scenes building this guy up.

Overall, I give it a 6/10. I'll definitely watch it again when Discotek puts it out. Good animation, inconsistent action scenes. At least Fujiko keeps her top on for this one.

When it comes to Goemon focused stories, Fuma Conspiracy is still the best. Only thing this really has going for it is the dismemberment. Slightly above average Lupin.

The last Lupin movie, Jigen's Gravestone got released on April 6, 2016. Almost two years after it was in theaters. Discotek might put it out a little faster this time but I doubt it. Either way I'm sure it'll get subbed sooner than that.

According to Nyaa, it was subtitled by translating japanese and russian subtitles and fixing errors.

So it's not a great solution, but it's serviceable until it gets officially released. Of course I probably won't rewatch it until it gets picked up by Discotek.

i watched it yesterday and i thought the subtitles were fine.
Enjoyable movie and some of the best fujiko scenes and Goemon is a badass in this movie.
Hopefully there will be more Lupin or anime in this style and animation quality.

But translated in translator, so I don't think that's a good choice to watch with. Akai-Shuichi (the one, who has done some Lupin movies in the past) commented on Nyaa that, fortunately, a proper fansub is in the works, so I'll wait.

Impeccable animation; the fight scenes were just incredible. What I didn't really like was the degree of character development for both Goemon and Hawk who clearly had a broader history than shown in the movie. Also Mine only appeared for a glimmer in the movie and did not contribute much, if not anything.

And that was the end. So awesome. Hawk was a focking tank. lol Disappointed at no naked Fujiko body. I just realized she didn't come back after she left. Hoping for more of this Lupin, which started with Fujiko's series.
If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have).

ended up seeing the best parts on youtube was genuinely amazed by the animation and how much of a god damn monster chuc-Hawk was ,honestly not that knowledgeable of Lupin but i knew enough since it was a one off thing the movie it's self was okay pretty simple for a short 1 hour movie .

7/10 just for how nice the action looked and the level of detail on the gore while shocking was impressive but for real you could just watch the fights and be happy without watching the rest lol.

This was good, but I liked Jigen's Gravestone more and that had better production values overall and more atmosphere. Or maybe I'm just biased since Jigen is one of my favorite characters and a god tier husbando.

Definitely worth a watch. I feel like this kind of sets up for a potential sequel, we still don't know who wants to kill our trio. Fingers crossed they do another TV series in this style, that would be amazing. They might just do another movie and it will focus on Lupin himself, that would make sense, since Fujiko, Jigen, Goemon all had their own dedicated series. (well, as an update and edit from 2021, the sequel did happen)

This does have probably one of the greatest fight scenes in all of anime though and the action scenes were truly spectacles in their own right, they made the movie shine.

Eh, maybe it's because I'm not really versed in Lupin and this was meant more of a fanservice, but this was pretty boring. The animation is stunning but everything is so over the top I didn't really get anything out of it. The fight scenes I've seen around were the only interesting part of it, and even then wasn't all that.

A Goemon Latters struggling with a formidable killer. So much blood and action, for a short but very intense special. Very beautiful.

RIP Zenigata xD

Goemon is serious (真面目) as always, well that's his character in original

This one is good but I much prefer the previous movie
Feels more Lupin with the "long con"
This movie is more action-oriented

For some reason I can't find my comment here :\

I do remember watching this. It has actual decapitations and Goemon going full serious mode all throughout.

Great movie!! Either way, the next follow up movie "Fujiko no Uso" is coming up soon.

So hopefully it will also have amazing animation like the first two movies ^^

Goemon has always been my favorite in the group, but this was okay. In general I enjoy the series more when it isn't super serious like this, even though that's Goemon's nature.

They could have also explained more about Hawk. Who he works for, if they're why he survived, etc. He didn't die at the end, just disappeared, and I doubt we will see him again unless they have bigger plans beyond these specials :/

Rewatched it and ended up way better than I remember. Like the previous movie, I prefer the overall series as a plot being simpler and focused and character driven is alway plus that made the original classic to begin with.

I see many complaint characterization but I honestly think these movies were similar characterized in the same style of Part I (at least similar to first couple of episodes) with extra violent. It was only from Part II that quite change the franchise direction.

Also Hawk's whole character pretty much self-explanatory if you watch the first minute again. Who knows he was ordered by Mamo to kill Lupin? Time will only tell. This episode somewhat gave me vibe of the original pycal episode but little more wild and modernized.

Btw, Interesting thing to note that this episode felt like the remake one of late red jacket episode which only had vastly different tone and most standout than others. Goemon has to battle pretty much same big guy but the ending was quite heartbreaking.

Now that's what we are talking about! This one was brutal for Lupin's standards, a true bloody festival, but it was so good. It might be the best piece of animation focused on Goemon in the series. Lupin, Jigen, and Fujiko were introduced early here, and Fujiko was looking great with short hair. She didn't have much to do besides beating Lupin to that money, and also being targeted by Hawk, but it was still way better than her participation in Jigen's one though.

Lupin, and Jigen themselves didn't have much to do either. They "only" watched over Goemon, and did all they could to survive that "killing machine." Hawk was a true monster, pretty much unstoppable. He trampled all over Goemon's pride, making him risk his life while trying to attain something that would allow him to stand against this powerful threat which appeared in front of him. But Goemon is also a "monster" himself, and it was brutal, but it felt so good to see him slicing that whole syndicate down like they were nothing, an one man army!

And Goemon also saved Lupin, Jigen, and Fujiko from Hawk while avenging his late boss. If it weren't for him they would "be in hell" by now. Jigen, understandably, was a bit more worried, but I think that Lupin really believed in Goemon. He didn't have much choice besides trusting him, but still. He didn't let Jigen interfere, and didn't do anything himself either. Goemon was utterly defeated by Hawk at first, but he got back on his feet to utterly defeat him in the end. He made that monster of a man feel fear, it was insane. The action was really good too! Welp, loved it.

Awesome movie as always but I think that they didn't show how Lupin got to know Goemon. The first meeting of Jigen and Goemon was at the end of the series but after that it is assumed that Goemen knows them. Am I missing something here?

Waiting for the Fujiko's subs.
ok :p

I love Hawk! He's my favorite villain out of these OVAs. I'm still not a fan Goemon. I thought this would change that after the 5th watch

Fujiko's toes spreading, moaning in pleasure while Lupin is giving her a back massage is always
hilarious. I love that these OVAs have a sexual joke in them.

Love that the Hideout Lupin, Jigen and Fljiko are in is a reference to the hideout of Episode 2 from Lupin the third part 1. "The man they called a magician"

I think it is the weakest out of the Koike Lupin films. They just fight ,there is not any suprise or something in it.And the gang would lose without Goemon too.And Idk why has Fujiko different haircut and hair colout than in the other 2 Koikes
