The f? so because Hishiro and Kaizaki are both subjects from ReLife project and they are spending time together or more important had create a love-relationship that means they will erase both of their memories? or that was the plan since the beginning of the experiment? I thought that was only for the people that surround them. confused af.

That chapter was deep man...

The contrast between Kaizaki and Yoake's faces sums it up quite well... even Yoake's feeling bad now.

But yeah. One really depressing chapter when you think about it.

Innocence is such a virtue. Damn you Kaizaki, stop saying things that makes us guilty.

But really, it's such a very bright future his' radiating, no one can look at it head on, yet.

getting a goosebumps when reading what Kaizaki said about his relationship with Hishiro especially the part when he said that he will "find" her and confess again in his adult form next year
just confused how the ReLIFE Lab wil remove the memories in Kaizaki and Hishiro.
or will it be just a "lie" about the other people surround the subject memories will be erased
just an opinion but if the Lab really erase those memories, i see the ending will be like the one in Kimi no Na Wa

and also it will be great i think if in the end Kaizaki work for ReLIFE lab in the support division like Yoake and Onoya

It's good to see Kaizaki not giving up on Hishiro completely but it's still sad knowing that he might end up forgetting about her.

I can't feel but that Yoake is concerned with this path that Kaizaki has chosen (confessing to Hishiro after he gets out of ReLife and she -- he presumes -- is in college). Kaizaki has made great strides toward greater self-reliance and re-established self-confidence. But, he's pinning all that on reconnecting with Hishiro after it's all done and when she (presumably) won't have memories of him. Will he crumble if she rejects him (the obvious reaction)? If does, and that is the likely result, the experiment will actually be a failure in the long-run.

Yoake is worried that Kaizaki is building his hopes on a foundation of sand.

No, Yoake is terrified because Hishiro is also a relife subject, so Kaizaki won't remember her. His plan is doomed to failure before it even starts. Worse: he's giving up being her boyfriend now in hopes for a second chance that he can't have.
It was painful to read. Now they absolutely have to find a way to let them keep their memories. I won't accept a they'll meet again and fall in love ending anymore.

Such a grim chapter, not sure whether I feel more sorry for Kaizaki or Yoake. The whole situation sucks and what makes it worse is how the writer keeps hammering on about it.

Really hoping they don't give us a Kimi no na wa ending; everything everyone did to this point will have been for nought.

Really, I don't remember correctly, but I think that was first time, when I see Yoake making that face. Even he isn't so confident to smile all the time, when the sad things occur.

He even drinks more to comfort himself. It's so sad they aren't going out yet. Maybe Hishiro will be confident enough to ask Kaizaki to go out next time? Maybe then he will agree to it.

I don't wanna think about memory loss at the end... It's so heartbreaking... This will be the happy end, right?!

About Hishiron and Arata memories have been described in the previous chapter. According to the Relife rules, Memory of both of them about the people around them should be removed, no matter whether the people around them are subject or not. However, the case of two subjects meet each other has never happened before and Relife scientists don't know whether memories between two subjects can be removed or not

Almost a placeholder episode in which we restate the essential dilemma; the fear that they will be erased from each other's memories. At least Kaizaki fears that since one thing the episode makes clear is that he doesn't really suspect that Hishiro is another subject.

Although ReLife wipes the knowledge of the subjects from the memories of the other students and the school staff, they clearly don't wipe Yoake and An's memories. ReLife could, presumably, treat Kazaki and Hishiro like staff at the end of the experiment and leave their memories intact as well. But that would be almost too convenient. I think a "they lose each other and then find each other again" scenario is more likely since it would have more of an emotional punch.

One or two things are predictable though. Some time soon, their friends will discover that they have become something more than just friends. Rena, Zazuomi and Honoka will find out shortly and those episodes should be all goodness and light.

The other thing stems from Hishiro's character. Every romantic relationship goes through rough patches along the way whether it is a lover's quarrel or a bit of jealousy or whatever. Every relationship undergoes some from of stress and that stress tears some relationships apart. When that happens, it hurts. But Hishiro has almost no experience in dealing with those sort of things other than her fall back "withdraw within her shell" approach. If that happens, Hishiro may lose everything she has gained. Perhaps a whole lot more. I only see one person who could save her; Kaizaki.

Let's see. About 200 episodes = 10 months of school. Two more months could be 40 episodes.

"You called?!" ROFL Yo Yoake has me dying of laughter LOL.

Aww man Kaizaki bro...that was unexpected I mean yeah in his eyes meeting Hishiro again with a ten year difference would be rough, but that just shows how fucking true his love is for Hishiro. GOD DAMN SO GOOD!

Yoake really kept it together, damn that boy is tough but this was the first time we actually saw him wanting to crack or have some kind of weakness towards the experiment and Kaizaki.

Very well done chapter.

Even if Kaizaki remembers Hishiron after the wipe, it won't do him any good to go to the university, because she won't be attending school........

This is probably the saddest chapter of ReLIFE. He really doesn't have any clue that Hishiro is a subject of ReLIFE too...

Honestly, this really shows how Yoake has developed as a person, too.
