Motomi-sensei did it again! Can't believe I am getting so emotionally attached to her characters in Queen's Quality. It's not just Fumi and Kyuutarou, but probably all of the characters.

Seeing Ataru break down in tears for the first time when he was in his senses was pretty difficult to see. As he recalled how Rumi had to die in order to protect him, he just had to give up and start letting it all out. I think he will hold a significant key to unlock the mysteries and fight against those who control the bugs.

Meanwhile, Kyuutarou was at his limit as he did his best resisting himself from kissing Fumi. It's so difficult for him to keep distance from the person he loves the most, who is always next to him but he can never tell her that he loves her and he loved him all along.

And then the final segment. The Black Queen's disappearance was so heart-wrenching. I cannot believe I was this sad seeing her go.

I am now looking forward to see Kyuutarou and Fumi going for training. Yes, this is a shoujo manga. It's not shounen!

Well, I don't get why he does have to keep his feelings as a secret. I hope something increase between them when they go to this training.
Ohhh, I was sad when Black Queen said goodbye, I liked that girl :/

I think the reason why he cannot tell her that he is in love with him is because of her Queen power. As we have seen, Rumi died for her strong affection towards Ataru. If you follow the development, it seemed like her Queen power escalated and got out of control when she thought she needed to protect Ataru.

Fumi, on the other hand, is still in the middle of grasping her ability and make it her own, where she makes decisions on her own with a sound mind (like the Grey Queen) and not like emotionally unstable ones like the Black Queen or the White Queen. There is a chance that the people from Black Tortoise fears that Fumi might not be able to hide her true emotions since she is still an amateur. I think that is what prompted them to suggest Kyuutarou that he needs to keep his feelings for her within him.

But you know, how shounen like this manga has been. I think it will be the exact opposite than what everyone is thinking. Maybe if she knows Kyuutarou loves her (and it's so painfully obvious that she loves him too), she will be able to really become the True Queen. Look how she became so hapless thinking Kyuutarou might be leaving her side for a while when she was told about the training and she almost begged him to take her with him. Even though she has many people who are there looking after her, cherishing her as a family, unlike before, Fumi still unconsciously seeks Kyuutarou's company the most.

From my understanding, the True Queen might eventually need a King to become complete and there's none other than Kyuutarou who can fulfill that role. Kyuutarou is as important in the story as Fumi is. Just like Teru was for Daisy. Motomi-sensei knows really well how to complement her main two characters for each other which is why I love her manga.

Wowwwwww
I really love your point of view, it's incredible!

Ahhh, I remembered about this...but Kyuutarou keeps his feelings to himself is hurting him and I don't like that at all. I almost cryed when he shared them to the guy in chapter 18 :/
Kyuutarou is the must hurted character in the story. He must be stronger to protect Fumi and cannot say anything to her.
And we still have the White Queen, so until Fumi "kills" her, Kyuutarou has to be hidding his feelings.
Now, it's the White Queen the girl Kyuutarou was in love?

I doubt she is going to "Kill" the White Queen. She didn't "Kill" the Black Queen. The Black Queen just became a conscious of her. The moment Fumi acknowledges her feelings that are more human (but stronger than an average human being, well, that's what makes her the Queen) she starts accepting those emotions as her own and they become a part of her. When the Black Queen said she was disappearing, it just meant that she would dissolve within Fumi, not as a separate emotion but as part of Fumi's entire emotion. I think the same would happen to White Queen. But there could be some sort of twist, so who knows! I think the way the Black Queen represents anger, wrath and hatred, the White Queen might represent avarice and pride. These are all human emotions but for a Queen, they are so strong that they can influence the surroundings.

As for Kyuutarou's first love, I think it was still the Fumi we know, just that she had lost all her memories. If we recall all the small segments that showed him in love with her, the girl never seemed like a cold person (i.e like the White Queen). She held his hand, allowed him to caress her cheek, let him decorate her hair with flowers and even shared kisses. That's just an average girl in love, just like Fumi is when she is not under the influence of a Queen. But this is where it becomes a bit blurry, since we have seen the Black Queen showing emotions of a girl in love before she disappeared. I still think she had those emotions developed in her after deciding to get dissolved in Fumi's conscience. In that sense, perhaps back then it might have been the White Queen but in a dissolved form within Fumi and perhaps the White Queen possesses the fragments of Fumi's memories that she had lost. Acknowledging the White Queen might result in remembering her time with Kyuutarou, just like acknowledging the Black Queen allowed some of her memories (albeit dark ones) to return.

At least that's how I see it.
