Seems this show really has a thing for whips... Thought this episode was too talky tbh and it was annoying to hear Belial's speeches. Well Lucifer is making a comeback..but seriously, the Maria moments were really cringe. |

Arland was pretty much broke at the beginning of the year, this anime was them trying to earn cheap money to avoid bankrupcy...but it didn't work. |

I think the article I read since 2011 or 2013. I cant even say they were "staying afloat", they were just seeing how long the debt could pile on before it was too late. I also don't fault Artland for this show at all. 1. They co-produced it with TNK. THEY are the notorious cash grab studio that makes horrible adaptations. 2. This was originally supposed to be a single OVA and it was going to be dumbed down and made all-ages friendly. That idea was scrapped and nothing was announced for almost 2 years. Then they decided to turn it into the full 12 episodes of ecchi. So obviously there was some problem from the get-go. 3. I don't hate the show, because I knew it was going to be horrible shameless smut before they even teased the project. Its based off hentai figures ffs. |
| Damn, you can actually kind of physically see that Artland was reaching the end of their rope this episode. Like, they went balls to the wall with nudity - practically every character was naked for 99% of this episode, and at the same time the quality of the art dropped dramatically compared to the rest of the episodes. It looked like this entire episode was outsourced (which actually wouldn't surprise me because Artland was outsourcing over 90% of their work). You can tell its going to get a half-assed conclusion as well. I wonder what will become of the BD situation. I know when Manglobe went under it fucked over Gangsta, but TNK co-produced this so they might shoulder the BDs. Actually I wonder how popular this show even was in Japan given how immensely popular the figure line is. Had everything gone according to their plan, I wonder if this show might've had a different future. Earlier on it almost seemed like they wanted to set it up for a second season. The main focus was/is Lucifer becoming the leader of the Sins, but they kept teasing that Heaven was about ready to start a war and take over Hell and Earth. It kind of seemed like that war would've been the premise for the second season, where they would then introduce the Seven Lively Virtues (which I believe also have a figure line now). Instead they're going to show up and get fucked up immediately in one episode for the happy ending. Will probably be as disappointing as this final Belial fight. It's a shame. I'm one of the few, if not the only one, who didn't mind the show simply because I knew it was going to be pseudo-hentai smut with a cheap plot. Just like Valkyrie Drive. |

| Wow. I thought it will not air. But guess it did. (Glad anyway cause anime made me worried about a human girl, affs!) Belial was the worst. I don't like her, and that aura of hers is just plain asshole levels, so I am glad I am on Team Lucy (her prideful personality is ratter entertaining for me anyway!). Eh I don't expect to much except for being a last minute cash grab full of ecchii (and funny advertisements a certain YouTuber encounters on Twitter) and demon babes are like my guilty pleasure. My only wish is that for the finale Maria actually makes herself useful for once, but being nude does not help. :V |

I wonder if their animators have been dropping out on them since the studio has gone belly-up. |

| Belial was an angel that was sent to Hell, much like Lucifer, and wanted to get revenge on her, even though it was God's decision. That's... quite a twist. The next episode is the finale, so I'm curious to know how this all ends. |
