I am hoping to finish Tractatus first, and then I hope to finish the 4th instalment in the Dune series. I'm also reading my way through the Bible.

Which Tractatus?

I finished Nietzsche's Daybreak. It's an odd way to start with him. It's a huge mess, a bunch of cool ideas but nothing gelling it. It was fun. Now I'm reading Vronsky's book about serial killers. Finally, someone who actually takes this subject matter seriously.

Could be interesting. It'd be interesting to dissect these vermin.

And logico-philosophicus.

Edit: I also just picked up Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

I heard Ayn Rand is utter trash.

How is the Tractatus? Can I approach it without much prior knowledge?

I wouldn't recommend the Tractatus unless you have had similar thoughts.

As for Ayn Rand, so far so good. So far excellent really, but I've only just started.

Reading Lincoln by Gore Vidal
There is absolutely no reason why I should accept "turn your brain off" as a valid excuse to defend a poor show.

Put briefly, 'The setting sun' (one of the better known books by acclaimed Japanese author Osamu Dazai) deals with human emotion. I'd more or less consider it a piece of symbolist literature, with many key instances geared towards a larger eventual outcome.

Dazai was known to be a suicidal hence the doleful out-look on life in many of his works, and this one is no exception. You can feel the author expressing himself personally in a few of the pages.
I can't say too much without revealing a lot but its worth a read albeit a deep one, some of the topics include adultery, and suicide.

As for the latter book it concerns one of Christian theology's wide disagreements even today, 'Predestination and Free will', with Luther drawing an explanative argument(scripture based) concerning free will as an erroneous statement in regards to Erasmus's assertion.
