| I wouldn't really call Ten a 'spin off', I would call it a direct sequel with partly different set of characters. (Kind of the way the tokyo ghoul did the sequel) I must say I am slightly disappointed how this ending went after the epic ending of Ten, which I would rather not mention because spoilers.. but it amplifies the ending of the Ten manga perfectly! I mean.. in the end, Akagi pretty much lost.. just a little more and his life would have been taken (which we know wouldn't happen of course, since we knew Akagi was still alive based on ten) The fact that he actually managed to draw out enough time for that short of a miracle 'win' was still impressive, even if it wasn't what he wished for. I was cracking my head to see a solution for even a chance to get out of that situation, but to no avail as well, so I was really looking forward to what author has planned again. I wonder if Akagi was already looking forward to death because he wanted to avoid That's the 1st time I don't know how should I rate the manga at all... by itself, Akagi started stronger and ended weaker compared to Ten, which was completely opposite. Akagi was slightly less enjoyable due to that, but if you actually read the manga in chronological order of Akagi>Ten, the impact Akagi leaves would amplify the effect you get from reading Ten.. In the end it seems that both are adding something to another. Quite a good way to make a manga.. If you started following this since the beginning.. you would be so old.. I wonder if the Berserk will ever end as well.. |

| Jesus, after so many years, it just feels so unreal that this 6th session finally came to an end. This was a very emotionally heavy chapter, but at the same time I'm also looking forward to complete Ten once Akagi is finished. |

| Amazing. All Washizu wanted in the end was to win. Not to kill Akagi, not to have his money back, but to win, and he won. What a great way to die! |

| I can see how the end to this match would technically be "anticlimactic", but I think it is absolutely perfect. Akagi lives, just how we all wanted him to, Washizu dies, like we wanted him to, yet Washizu also "won"... which I have to admit, he deserved to win. Akagi would have deserved a win, too. But this way I think it works out very well. I can only hope my own death will be as epic as this one! Dying while playing Mahjong sounds dope, but I'd hate to be losing while doing so lol |
