DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- It's amazing how views of people change when they are shown affection and care. The way the villagers get along with Asahi gives me an amazing feel. The same villagers who didn't bat an eye when she was thrown in the lake as a sacrifice or made her put her hand in boiling water. The same villagers now show deep concern when she is summoned by the great king. I am also impressed by the way Asahi convinces the great king, who is but a little kid. I was a bit worried the way he looked but Asahi's sincerity got through the kid as he allows her to leave for her village. And it's amazing how she thinks the village as her own now. <3 Also, Suijin deciding to wear the glass bead Asahi made as an ornament was rather refreshing. Asahi's feelings are finally reaching Suijin, perhaps? |
