Even though it's raining hard outside, the mood is cherry with Natsuki and Shizuka.

The episode aimed for their final grand performance in this show, something I anticipated. Heh, of course they would use the opening song for their show. Nice to see a decent audience show up for their performance though.

Bad news. There is a cancellation of the concert.

But...
Good news, I think there is more audience
Finally!!!
They reach more people but was announced on the internet and television to not cancel the concert due to the rain.
And finally, there are full people!
Working on the future things.

This was a bizarre ride [add a ゴゴゴゴ pun here] indeed. From running to the top of a mountain, to the cat island, to the talking statues and to idols with swords! Very interesting for being my first "idol" anime to watch hehe.

Maybe it was little rushed for a 12-lenght episode but was enjoyable at least (they need more songs btw) and the last episodes were very good.

So effectively option 2 I predicted last week happened with another vote to reinstate the idols after some goofy shenanigans. Well I thought they bungled the buildup to the finale, but considering this show was never meant to be taken seriously I guess it doesn't matter. It was an incredibly stupid, or perhaps silly series, but the girls were cute and had plenty of fun moments. That's all I really expected going in anyway. 7/10

That was a pretty good last episode.

Everyone worked hard together and thwarted the Rougai Party.

When the president was talking to Natsuki after they got re-elected, I felt that he enjoyed the competition.

Looks like he also enjoyed the concert a bit, his feet were moving to the beat.

So I wonder if that ending means we get another season eventually?

Well that's our finale I guess. The power of music brings the audience and rest of the idols to the venue and we got ourselves a successful performance.

The members get re-elected and all's well that ends well.

Overall. it was a really ludicrous show, silly with probably a lot of unbelievable things given it's already weird setting and even the whole plotline felt a little stupid but it was fun enough to watch I suppose even if I wasn't all that invested. The girls were good though. XD

The Prime Minister stopping them through some god damn forced methods.
There was guy with his truck in the middle of the road who was taking a break. For real? Who the hell takes a break in the middle of a god damn road? That guy should have been beaten to a pulp for blocking the traffic for no god damn reason. The Prime Minister should have been accused for using government machinery to pressurize his political opponents. All this was flat out abuse of power, apart from infringing on the people's right to freedom of speech. But the biggest reason why this Japan is going through supposedly dark times isn't only that their Prime Minister is corrupt or anything, it's that the people still support him and his party despite everything. In the end, the idols couldn't make a difference as Sakuraba got elected to the Prime Minister's office again after all that happened. The idols couldn't change anything. The status quo was maintained in the end. The idols need to change tactics and try to change the people harder. Whatever they did in these past 12 episodes wasn't enough as no one changed. They're supporters didn't increase. Sure they changed some individuals and highlighted a couple of problems, but it didn't have any effect since they didn't win the elections. I was hoping that they would make the idols sweep the elections, but they're back to square one.

What I expected from this show was some amusing ridiculousness because idols in the Diet who are high school students is as stupid as anything can get. But apart from maybe a couple of episodes at best, nothing was amusing. I didn't expect much politics from this (though the politics towards the end was pretty neat) and neither did I expect some good animation here. This clearly wasn't MAPPA's flagship product; though the CGI bowing towards the end was too much. I mean, come on MAPPA! Wtf! I think I even saw some reused animation for the dances and it looked like they didn't have many songs for an idol anime since they were basically slapping the same meh song everywhere they could. A subpar show at best.

Welp... Pretty crazy ride, this show had it's fair share of "wat" moments but overall it wasn't too bad I guess... Gotta say it was even cute, aside from a few subpar CGI moments.

This feels like a kids anime but the art(end cards) and airing time are for adult..

The base concept is good but execution is bad. some of them are even middle schoolers(checked some of their profiles). why someone would vote kids to represent them? Is there no age limit to be a diet member? Can a kindergartener become a diet member too? Look at how childlish them for sabotaging the kindergarten.. people in that country are dumb, that's why I'm not surprsed that they're easily swayed by the prime minister's tactics.

I also feel weird that they're still in school but looks like not in school after all, do they even have time for school? they look like they don't have friend in school either. Natsuki only has a little boy as her friend..

the characters designs also looks too young especially with cherry7. they were with the first diet woman 20 years ago but still look like highschoolers? they should be at least in 30-40s.

I also don't like how no one noticed that Natsuki was really feeling down for few episodes especially Shizuka. The only one to notice it was Sachie but she should've noticed sooner because she always keep her eyes on Natsuki.

I didn't expect them to sing many songs. I actually expect some politics but turned out to be disappointing. I agree that the politics are just power abuse, politics without the other side cannot fight back are not politics. The idols used music hypnosis to make people obey them and the prime minister used his power to make people obey him. In the end the prime minister got 'hypnotized' at the concert and decide to fight them by voting. He can easily strip the idols of their status because the new law was already in effect, I think the ending with become too sad if the idols are not diet member anymore.

edit: I just checked their site. They actually have many songs. I like most of them, too bad they're not presented in the anime.. You can check the songs preview here

Pretty good series overall, not gonna be winning any awards but it was enjoyable.
Also couldn't help but laugh at the part with all the politicians at the end bobbing back and forth.

Music was also decent so that's fun =p

The Prime Minister did his everything to stop Natsumi, Chizuka, and the other Idol Dietwomen from performing, but all his efforts were in vain. So many people from the previous episodes helped the girls. Thanks, guys!

They got a huge audience, after all. Even the rain didn't stop the people from arriving to the concert.

That was a beautiful performance. The audience loved every second.

However, the Prime Minister didn't give up. He dissolved the Diet and held a general election. Fortunately, every single Idol Dietwomen got re-elected. In your face, jerk! Those girls are never going to give up! That's for sure.

Overall, this was a very good show. Definitely better than I expected. I'll miss all these characters, even the Prime Minister. He made this much more exciting.
