Gundam series to start

looking for suggestions on what gundam series i should start. What i have seen so far is most of the ones that do not take place in the U.C.. Wasn't sure if i should start watching in order or just watch the compilation movies to get caught up. either way what i have completed is:
mobile fighter g gundam
gundam wing
gundam 00
gundam build fighters/try
Iron blooded orphans

You can also start with Gundam: The Origin. Not completed yet, but episodes 1-4 will give you general idea about UC.
It's a good anime. More like Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu, not exactly mecha.

It is easier to watch the 3 compilation Mobile Suit Gundam movies then original TV series.

The Gundam Zeta New Translation movies are very different from the series. It is up the you.
If you are interested only in Char and Amouro, skip the series and watch the movies. They will help you on your road to the Char's Counterattack movie.

Then you can skip Gundam ZZ or watch it for it's moronic jokes and illogical twists/developments. The only benefits are what happens with Camille and Haman and also to know who (and what) is "Puru".

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack movie is mandatory if you liked Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam Zeta.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - gathers all the good staff from UC in one place. Tons of references to MSG, Zeta and ZZ. Also explains what happens with Mineva Zabi, Ple 12 and other recurring characters.

Also I recommend:
Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO - 9 short stories in the background of the One Year War. Plays more like TV drama, not mecha.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt and Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt 2nd Season - also in the same period. Brutal, fast paced (only 4 episodes a season) and beautifully drawn.

There are more UC stuff - 0080: War in the Pocket, 0083: Stardust Memory, The 08th MS Team ect. For me they are optional.
