(Spoilers) Kimi no Iru Machi do Yuzuki and Haruto deserve to be together

As the title says ill be looking at some plot points that make me feel like they deserve to be together and some thing that could have been different to fix these plot point. All these plot points are what if questions that make me feel like they either don't love each other of that they just got lucky by ending up together.

1. What if Kyousuke lived? Would Yuzuki dump him for Haruto? This one questions Yuzuki's love for Haruto. So the question is pretty standard but is never answered directly. The reader knows that they would still end up together but ever time i see the helmet i just feel bad for Haruto because he will always have this question in the back of his head.

This is a very simple fix you can even kill Kyousuke and have the rest of the manga play out the same all you have to do is either have Haruto steal Yuzuki back before he dies then he dies in surgery and Yuzuki dumps Haruto for the same reason she said the should be together after his death then the whole thing plays out the same. Or add a chapter where Haruto feels upset but doesn't tell Yuzuki then she finds out from one of their friends and they talk about. They did this to add filler when Yuzuki and Haruto had a fight because she felt left out not being able to talk about cooking, the only why this is different is this is a real reason to doubt your girlfriend.

2. The next two are similar so i'll just group them together. What if they never meet up again at the mixer and what if Haruto never got transferred back to Tokyo? Both these me feel like they are together because of pure luck.

To fix this you just have to get them together by not pure chance.

For time when they meet at the mixer i see two ways it could have been better. First way assume Yuzuki doesn't get over Haruto, but doesn't realize it and she is depressed about it, Rin notices this and assuming she is still in contact with one of Haruto friends make them meet up again, then does the whole park thing and everything plays out like that. Second way assume Yuzuki doesn't get over Haruto but does realize it then have her be the reason he gets invited to the mixer then everything just plays out the same.

For the transferred back to Tokyo time I again see to way it could have been better. First have Haruto quit you were going to make him a chef anyways should have done it from the start and used the last couple chapter to so them starting the restaurant and the trouble that bring and/or show their decision to have kids. Second involves him coming back the same time he did in the manga but this time instead of just being handed the promotion he tells his co-worker that he is going to quit because he can't get over Yuzuki, she tells him not to do it but can't convince him he goes in and says his his going to quit but the branch manager says that his co-worker told him that Haruto was the one that same up with new beer type and that he should get the promotion over her, this is very similar to what happen except this time Haruto goes back because of Yuzuki not because some random transfer.

Also i'm looking for another romance manga. I don't want to read Suzuka because even though i read Kimi no Iru Machi and liked it at time it really made me mad. Now that i'm finished it looking back on the whole story i would save it was alright i just don't want to read something like it right now and by "like it" I don't mean the plot or location I mean something that has alot for the "what if " mentioned above.

1. Kyouusuke one time was suggesting she was with him out of sympathy/pitty, other time because of love. And Yuzuki never said clearly why she was with him, only that she agreed because he was terminally ill. So I would guess that she would dump him if he would live. But it could take forever and wouldn't be very exciting from that point.

As for dumping before he died - if she would break up with Haruto after that they could not get back together anymore because Haruto would always remind her what she did to Kyousuke. So manga would end faster.

Kyousuke's story helped to make their relationship real and more mature. Till then they were acting like kids. So imo it went in a good way.

2. Even without mixer Haruto was working in the store, so he would meet Yuzuki/Rin anyway. I guess japanese like fate or "red string" to play a big role in their love life.

Between dumping Asuka and seeing Yuzuki after his job transfer he was wishy-washy guy going with the flow... I didn't like his attitude after coming to Tokyo. He clearly gave up on her and went to their meeting place out of misery to himself, reminiscing. I really hoped that someone will finally kick his butt to open that restaurant faster since he knew/worked for Shiho-sensei and had connection to italian restaurant, but instead he broke up with her.

Maybe Kimi has more depth, but I had a blast reading Suzuka since I like sport genre and characters aiming for their goals, also Suzuka is showing the complexity of a woman way of thinking in a really good way. And after that Fuuka is a must read.

She become kouske girlfriend because he was dying and his wish was that she become his become that's all 😱 if i was kouske I ask her To become my sex friend because I am dying. BS dying or not she should have not played with haruto feeling freeking bitch
