Death, a thing everyone knows about, a thing, the gods have brought upon us. While they watch us suffer, in despair. As amusement. There are 3 known ranks of gods. First, the immune, the gods that are in now way capable of dying, these gods do not care about anyone below their rank. That's why they never turn an eye to any world, and never mess with them. Next, the rulers, the gods that are capable of dying, but not because of age, the only way to get them to die, is to kill them. An almost impossible mission. These gods find our despair funny. And bring us in more despair and death. And then, there are the lowest ranked gods, the gods that live with us, us as mere humans, that aren't capable of doing a thing. These gods have powers, some can read minds, others can kill you by only touching you. And some, can turn into frogs. Of course there a lot more powers. Most of the time, when humans find out that there is a god with them, they do whatever they can, to kill them. And sadly, it doesn't always end well.
The world we live in, is called Bortania. The rulers don't really care about our world, since it's filled with the third rank gods.
Dear Mayor Egnog,
As you might know, I'm one of the god hunters, something has been making me worry about your town. It appears that a lot of gods have been heading over there. I'm afraid that there's a heaven gate developing in the northern streets. If that gate reaches it's final form, there's no way of closing it up anymore, we have to do something about this. I'd like to propose a meeting, tonight, 12pm. I have to talk to the local god hunters, and do some preparations.
If you could get everyone to the Black Horse, the tavern in the northern streets, the gate will be taken down in no time.
Sincere,
Renn Asdan

Renn closes the letter, and put it in an envelope. Blood is flowing down my cheeck. "Humans, I hate 'em." Renn says to himself. Renn picks up his coat from his chair, and puts it on. Little magic chards start gathering around him. And suddenly he's gone. Suddenly, here he was, in front of the mayor's house. He puts the envelope in the mailbox, and starts walking towards the black horse tavern. It was a short walk from here. He reaches the tavern, and steps in. The smell of alcohol and chicken meets his nose. 'Mere humans, what do the rulers like about them." He thinks to himself. He takes of his coat, and puts it on a chair, he sits down on a table in the far corner of the tavern. It's cold. A waitress walks towards him, but upon seeing his face, she freezes, and puts on a fake laugh, before walking away. |
