| What I love about Haikyuu, is how each players of a team are depicted as humans. And how each team have their own story. But, Shiratorizawa, the elite school, was first depicted as the cliche robot, cold, unbeatable, overpowered elitist team in the first two seasons when you got to only view them from the exterior. Honestly, Ushijima was depicted like a villain... And then comes this season, and they actually get a developpement. It was better in the manga, but they still showed a bit how struggling it was to be in the "elite". I really love how they were portrayed; their training is intense, they worked like crazy to get there. The setter is very hard and demanding towards himself (the scene where he's smacks himself really got me, and the one where he says "so persistent !"), Goshiki is ambitious and hard-working, Eita (pinch server) while being excellent is still benched and was replaced by a 2nd year ... Anyway, I wasn't expecting this, I think it's different as casual character developpement because Haikyuu got to always come up with very diversified and 'original' (at least if not litteraly original, developped) characters. In this case, I've never seen an anime where you'd show the elite as anything else except cold, strong, badass and all. It may be so in the exterior, but I think it's first stressing, it requires a lot of work, and a lot of self-exigency.. So, yes, I've completely fallen for Shiratorizawa. I'll stop ranting so TL;DR, this match is the best of the series honestly so I wanted to make a poll. And we all know the greatest and worst thing about Haikyuu is how you get to love every team :). |

| At first I was rooting for Karasuno, 'cause the worked so hard to get to Nationals. PLUS, if they don't, they can't make the Battle of the Garbage Dump, a reality. And anyway, Shiratorizawa won for at LEAST three consecutive years. Then i started getting attached to the members of Shiratorizawa. I JUST DONT KNOW ANYMORE. WHICH OF MY BABIES SHOULD GO TO NATIONALS. I'm sorry. Goshiki, Semi, Satori, Ushijima. MY BABIES. IM SORRY. FORGIVE ME. GO GO KARASUNO! PUSH IT PUSH IT KARASUNO! |
| Shiratorizawa doesn't have any characters which make you particularly empathetic (except maybe Tendo. tho he's pretty horrible so I don't really care lol) Karasuno is bound to win it. |

Agreed. They tried to show their backstories (hell, even their coach's backstory), but they are just really unlikeable for me. Ushijima starting to care about Hinata was at least a little bit interesting, and their setter was somewhat okay in terms of character, but everyone else is just meh... Tendo is just creepy and annoying, and that ace-wannabe doesn't have anything interesting going for him that would make him likeable or someone to root for. Mhmm. Ushijima is the only one who's a bit interesting. And I also like that other setter who's got more power, probably like him the most among Shiratori. Tsutomu and Tendo annoy me quite a bit. |
