I'm getting scared. I might do my play-through on classic/hard after all XD edit. I'm mucking around with pairings and inherited skills at the moment. I've just been writing them down in a gDoc, moving things around, trying to work out how to make the best use of each character's natural growth rates. Plus I read a few different guides on other forums. So far this is all I've decided, and it might change... The Avatar(M) as a Warrior & Aversa as a Dark Flier conceive: Morgan(F). Finish as a Sage (support; healer; magic DPS;). Shadowgift from Aversa Galeforce from Aversa as a Dark Flier Lvl. 15 Counter from Avatar(M) as a Warrior Lvl. 15 Tomefaire at Sage Lvl. 15 ? ---Shadowgift allows Morgan to be the most adept offensive tome-wielder in the game, far as I can tell. She's also credited with eventually being able to cast rescue at a range that is bigger than most maps. Tomefaire is essential to buff her damage output. Galeforce gives the non-mounted caster even more manoeuvrability, and theoretically allows for an offensive turn and a medic turn, making full use of her versatility. I'm hoping Counter doesn't rely on the strength stat, and it's just direct damage as the effect implies. I haven't been able to decide on a fitting 5th skill yet. Frederick & Cordelia as a Dark Flier conceive: Severa. Finish as a General (tank; physical DPS;). Galeforce from Cordelia as a Dark Flier Lvl. 15 Lifetaker at Dark Knight Lvl. 15 (promoted Dark Mage) Luna at Great Knight Lvl. 5 Dual Guard+ at Great Knight Lvl. 15 Pavise at General Lvl. 15 ---Severa will be my main tank on the battlefield. With Galeforce and Lifetaker, she is guaranteed full recovery every turn so long as she can keep making two kills per turn, but even one kill per turn will sustain her. Galeforce also makes up for the loss in manoeuvrability versus being a Great Knight. Luna will trigger often to help this process along. Dual Guard+ and Pavise help her tanking ability, depending on her position in a pair-up, reducing or completely negating incoming damage from herself and allies to make the most of her self-healing and lessen the workload of dedicated healers. |

Yeah. I may change my mind still. It'll just be a case of getting all the characters written out like this and shifting stuff around until I like how it looks. In my first game, I screwed my party composition pretty badly by not having enough tanks and versatile healers. If not for Frederick's manoeuvrability and Dual Guard I'd have been dead many more times. |

I'll probably just soft-reset when I loose units. I'm only playing on classic because it forces me to develop a strategy that carries all units. Have you heard from sexuality today? |

Yeah I wasn't sure originally but since I'm probably only going to play it once more I want to plan my perfect units so I can send a team out at the end and get renown XD Oh, they were just supposed to be joining us. They got back to me on my profile comments today. By the way, did you have any ideas of what you wanted the club name to be? I double-checked that the search does index the club description so getting it to come up if people type Fire Emblem isn't a problem, but only serious players would understand the joke I guess. |

Yeah I guess. I'm just being impatient because I'm excited XD I'll change it to Fire Emblem Legacy. That probably suits our aim better anyway. |

Well.. did you want to confirm a 1st of December start? My idea of possibly starting on the 5th of November for Extra Life's campaign was just ruined because I have to serve on the jury for a local case for the next three to four weeks, starting immediately. This will give me/us time to recruit more players anyway. |

I greeted that new member earlier. I'm trying to work my courage back up for classic-lunatic with soft-resets. Trying not to get scared XD I want to unlock Lunatic+. Holding off on getting Morgan(F) 'till I can marry Aversa is going to suck. I'm going to have to think more about the characters I have access to early-game. Oh also, I don't think I showed you yet: Here's a Walhart XD (https://plus.google.com/collection/ge8NnB) edit. Okay, I'm going to start playing in a week. My old man wanted to borrow my cartridge all of a sudden because he's thinking of buying FE, even though I'd previously told him I needed it back by December if we wanted to borrow it. Typical. Annyyway... |

KyubiTheSnowFox said: Random question of the year: Which FE games are mainly being discussed here? Oh! My apologies! I thought this forum had been left for dead. Originally it was just a place for me and a couple of friends to discuss our hard or lunatic run we were planning for Awakening. However, you can discuss any FE game here. Just make a thread for the game you want to discuss and fire away XD |

Nah, it's all good ^^ It's only been a couple of months since I've posted the message :P Haha, jokes aside, I'm just curious to how you discuss things. After all, it's hard to find people who see eye to eye with me on the subject of games :D But another question, have you overwritten a finished game slot with a fresh new one, on accident? 'Cause I have... on Echoes! Bah, my luck is just sad -_- |

'Cause I have... on Echoes! Bah, my luck is just sad -_- I think its' just important to remain respectful, as always. For a lot of gamers, RPGs are an especially personal experience when you have control over class development, shipping, etc. People can easily get their back up when you don't agree with their decisions. The only time I have ever overwritten a game save by mistake was my Dad's finished Super Mario 64 save... and I tell you, I've never done it since. ...I've just realised it must look like I have been talking to myself here. I was replying to someone each time, but they seem to have deleted their posts... or have been deleted... eh. |

And now that you've just mentioned it, yes, it kinda does look like you're talking to yourself XD Ah. I see. I feel like Australia used to be like that when I was a lot younger. I'm not sure if it's changed, or I've changed the people around me, but I no longer experience this. |

Hey, it's a bit late, but Happy New Year. How've you been? Still playing FE? I've finished Fates: Birthright and Conquest. About half-way through Revelations now, just taking it really slow, making sure I use all of the challenges and DLC to level all my characters so I can call on any of them in the final battle. |

Sorry for the late reply! Yes, Happy [late] New Year. I've been a bit inactive lately, and I'm getting bothered with everything. I am, of course, playing FE. But somehow, after finishing Echoes, I don't feel the need to play it anymore? Maybe because it lacks the diversity that Awakening and Fates has? You sure are patient, levelling up every single character, although I'm doing the same, except with bond units. |

It also wouldn't be the first time I've been typing a long reply to something online late at night while tired and fallen asleep; laptop eventually going flat during the night. Anyway... RE: Echoes: Yeah, it's one of the few games I've resold before actually passing it. I don't know what happened. I came into it thinking I loved FE games, but it bored me half to death. I ended up feeling like I'd wasted my money, and wanted to recoup some of the loss. I haven't finished Fates: Revelation since my last post after putting in some solid hours over NOV/DEC, but I do look forward to a time when I am actually on top of my studies when there is a break, so I can actually take a break and finish it (is that really a break? lol) I figure we'll both keep checking this from time to time, being that the site's primary use is as a database. Personally, I've been dependant on it ever since I found out about it. I used to keep my own progress lists in Google Keep, if you'd believe it. Horribly inefficient way to do things. Did the same thing when I used to read comics as well. That got crazy. |

I have played FE4/FE7/FE8/FE9/FE10/FE11/FE13/FE14 (all routes)/FE15 and I'm planning to play and complete FE5/FE3/FE6. I'm on ch.11x right now and I can certainly see why people praise it as the most difficult game. It has some pretty hard maps but they're very satisfying to complete. It's not perfect though, there's some weird maps that pull some really BS stuff like opening a chamber full of very strong enemies (you can't see what's in the chamber before you open it) and staffs that can miss (and double which is kind of funny). You should give some of the older FE games also a shot. I started with Awakening but still gave the older games a shot and some are very good. |

I don't know enough Japanese to be able to be able to play them otherwise. I'd like to source original copies too. I'm a bit old-fashioned with these things. I still have my SNES and my N64, and a 2DS which is what I used to play Awakening and Fates (even though they really demand a 3DSXL). |

All the other games have official translations. Most FE games are pretty old so if you want to buy them they'll be pretty pricey. I would know because I bought PoR and RD a few months ago and a part of me felt really bad for how much I payed for a video game. |

Official translations? Hmmm, I think Radiant Dawn but I'm a very experimental sort of guy when it comes to FE games. I tend to like the ones that do a lot of risque stuff regardless of whether it's good or bad. Honestly, I would recommend Path of Radiance, it's the prequel to Radiant Dawn and it's Ike's game. It has the best balance between story and gameplay of any of the FE games. It's also not really all that hard. Once you get most of your units going at the start they easily start to grow into powerhouses. You could also try to go for FE8 since you started with Awakening. From the older games I'd say it has the most colorful cast and it's also the easiest GBA game. Oh and you can even grind in it like in the newer games. |

@YayaChibi I recently worked out that MyBoy! will allow you to sync everything to cloud storage, so you can (probably) more easily add patches via your PC if you also make use of Google Drive Sync, for example, without ever having to plug your phone in. Kinda cool. |
