| Revolution without a real solution means that our young terrorists, holding all questions but no answers, are doing nothing more than projecting their frustrations onto the world. They're enquirers... but what comes if nobody produces a satisfactory answer? Even if they do get an answer - their standards are too high, too strict, and it's impossible to please everyone. What happens when the new society begins to deviate from their ideal once more? Will Yuki, as a god, hold the reigns of the world forever? Even if he doesn't, who will? As that one side-character said, society was made by humans. I have no doubt that the original intent of those in power was to create a peaceful society, and even if Yuki succeeds in his venture, equilibrium will inevitably recur. Like the Qin dynasty, oneness won't last beyond his lifespan, and I don't see an answer manifesting which would prevent this. That leads to the two alternatives that the characters are currently visited by - doing nothing, or slow reform based on incentive, neither of which have proven to be in the least effective at improving the situation. It's an interesting conundrum. Personally I think the best choice is to not care about what's happening in some place far removed from your vision. |
