Can't find movie related to the cat returns

There was a movie related to the cat returns, I've throttled Google but it refuses to give. It had a figure of the baron in it, if that helps. I really can't remember what it's called but I just fancy watching it.

Are you sure you don't mean Whisper of the Heart, the movie from which The Cat Returns originates? I'm not aware of any additional sequel or related anime movies. Why are you so sure it exists?

Thanks that's it!! I'm off to watch, just wanted to watch it for some reason.... I was busy editing the thread as it occurred to me the movie was before the cat returns whilst you were posting. I seemed to think it was after.

I wish I could watch Whisper of the Heart for the first time again... What I thought would be an average high school anime turned out to be one of the most incredible experiences I've had.

For the future, just so you know, on MAL every entry has all the related anime (and manga) linked under the synopsis so that would have been a quick way to find what you've been looking for.

I feel ya. At least I've still saved The Cat Returns for a rainy day. Maybe you'd like Ocean Waves if you haven't seen it. It's probably the closest to Whisper in the Heart in terms of movies with that kind of setting/themes.

As far as I find Whisper of the hearts and The Cat Returns are only related. As the reports go, they (atleast the latter one) was a part of a promotional episode for a Cat themed amusement park or so. But sadly the plan later dropped and the animation was converted into a full fledged movie.

I've just see first half of the movie till now and found that the animators secretly show name of one of their prior project "Porco Rosso". Maybe there is some link between the two but can't confirm the same till I watch Porco Rosso.
