| it's a kinda...otaku pandering anime that is somewhat cliche and repetitive (eg. comments on busts), but does have its moments. Like, 50 foot woman in skimpy outfit vs. kaiju moments. The style is in my 1990s strikezone; the characters are fluid and objects are nicely detailed - clearly milotaku were at work behind the scenes here, with plenty of JSDAF planes and an unusual cameo of USAF AWAC craft. From what I can tell, the New Guinea deities that are presented here are fictitious (though Rongo is the name of a Maori god) so it's probably not a good idea to show this to someone from New Guinea. It was also somewhat out of character for anime, which often hides or makes up country names, for an actual place to be used but then to invent deities from it. The plot thread that begins this anime, of a Japanese businessman pilfering cultural artifacts from New Guinea, brings to mind how this kind of thing is unacceptable now lol. I think Ahem is pretty interesting from a design perspective. It's a design and character that feels like a real mythological deity, from his whiskers to fully erect penis symbolism. I could really see him in a Shin Megami Tensei game, for example. |

| This OVA is worth watching on the basis of Mii having 10/10 tits alone. |
