It is really interesting how Johan could get rid of the others without having to kill them himself, even if this means that he had Roberto kill them or someone else or even persuade them to commit suicide. What do you think?

Well Roberto and any of those others that do the killing for him worship him and/or are afraid of him. Johan did some killings himself. I just don't know how he gets someone to commit suicide. He's god at messing with other people's minds I guess.

I agree with you, even though I haven't noticed Roberto being afraid of Johan (remind me of an incident, i can't come up with anything).

Well, I think here with Roberto we have an exceptional example of "admiration" version)
And about his ways... yes, he was brilliant at approaching people (his whole appearance and sound of his voice tend to win people's favour, and only those who have experience start suspecting, since they understand that such a perfect person can't exist), and when he does that having gathered all the information about them, he knows what their weak points are...
