| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This episode was very Mazingerish. Only now I realized one major difference between them. The lab kept getting destroyed in Mazinger and Great Mazinger, while here they rarely put a scratch on the Nanbara Connection. Well, until now. I really liked how the barrier just barely missed the bomb, which makes you wonder what would have happen if it actually worked. Would it have killed Combattler V? If so, did professor actually want to contain the explosion and save Combattler V, as obviously Combattler V is more worth than Nanbara Connection right now? Feels weird saying that five lives in a robot matter more than the entire staff of Nanbara, but only Combattler can save the Earth. |
