While I don't think they'll ever break up and I thought the scene was very sweet, seriously thinking about marriage after graduation so early in their lives is a bit much... Though what do I know, there's no reason not to if they think they'll be ready and it doesn't get in the way of their future.

You have to remember Hor's parents got together really young. They had Hori at around the same age she is now. Then you also have the fact that her parents fully endorse them getting married and have pushed the idea themselves not mention even the idea of them having kids early. Then you have Hori who is already in family mode and has been for a long time so the idea of of starting a family early is not a big deal for her. It is made far more clear how little she minds about starting a family early in the web comic. In the web comic
In the end their relationship has never really been what you would call the norm. Even before they became a couple they were already very close like you'd expect a couple who had been together for years. After they had become a couple they had already long gone past a lot of the steps of dating and a beginning relationship to where a couple would be at that they would start to consider marriage. Though the comfortable intimacy like they had been together for years is still intermixed with their youth.

This became a lot longer than I had planned...

That... makes everything seem even more irresponsible... I think a lot of it is not because of their youth but because of the author. Don't know how, but I'm guessing because it's not supposed to be that realistic. It's a shounen romcom based on a webcomic which is supposed to fill a need, I don't expect the quaint hand of an adult writing about kids. Maybe some culture shock has to do with it too.

Also it's completely fine that your response was long, you took your time to share your thoughts and I appreciate that very much.

P.S.
Her saying it's alright for him to cum in her may have been supposed to convey that but it's fucking stupid. A, that means they didn't have protection so STDs ahoy, and B, again it's incredibly irresponsible. Then again, what I said before goes for this as well.

Ah they are both technically adults as they are both 18 and well over the age of consent for japan. Also it is the first time either of them have been in a relationship let alone a physical one. Of course their thinking is flawed but it is actually not that uncommon especially when the girl has had a unconventional upbringing of certain kinds. Also well on Miyamura side in the end he is a guy and was having sex. Guys don't exactly always make the best decisions during those situations.

I've been personally put in similar situation couple times by girls and known other guys who had the same kind of thing happen. Also least in america there is a large number of teen parents because they didn't worry about consequences and use protection.

Yeah, good points. Doesn't change the fact that they're teenagers in a Romance manga.

Also, I won't pry into your situations or pretend like I understand but from what I know a large number of... any genital related problems really, in the US seem to be the byproduct of shitty Sex Ed.

Oh no special situation. I've just known several girls where the girls tried get pregnant early on in a relationship or wanted take unnecessary risk that could lead to it and I know other guys who ran into the same thing. I can't get deep into the psychology of it but I know for some girls it is because they think having a kid will fill for lack of a better term a void in them of having someone they think would love them unconditionally but they don't realize the responsibility and sacrifice that comes with having a kid especially so young. This is stuff I've even heard some girls say themselves and it tends to stem from neglectful childhood where parents weren't there for the girl to give her support and love that they wanted. This is kind of the category Hori falls into. We even see it directly when she was sick and semi delusional. Another more petty reason is they think by having a kid with the guy is a way make him stay with her even if the relationship is poor. Again this is something that Hori falls under somewhat with how reliant she becomes on Miyamura and how emotionally distraught she becomes over just the idea he might leave her for any reason. Then Hori is a even more special case that she has been giving the role of playing the mom since she herself was little so in her head having a kid of her own isn't a major thing but more of just a natural progression in things. She doesn't even have parents that could act of role models of what not to do and they don't even push the idea of waiting till older to have kids. If anything they push the idea of having kids early more.

For the guys it is fairly simple. They are having sex and baser instincts tend to make it hard to over ride thinking of right then and instead also thinking what their actions could lead to in the future. Oh course the crappy sex ed education system that is always under fire in the US by people trying get rid of it all together for various outlandish reason doesn't help. Then add to that 50% divorce rate in the US that often leaves parents putting their own selfish desires ahead of the well being of their kids leading the kids to end up in the situation I mentioned isn't helping either.

Yeah... A bit generalising but I think that's the gist of it. Though I can't really talk like I know shit since I'm not American (I'm Swedish, and we're not legally allowed to have sex till we're 15) and pretty young, but from what I've heard from American schoolmates what you're saying doesn't surprise me. It really is a pity, but I can't blame the kids. It really is a matter of environment.

Reading this at the middle of the night and woke up all the neighbors with my loud "Yahooooooooooooo!"

What is this great chemistry that I’m sensing between Akane & Yuki's big sis? Akane go for the mature girl you can do it!

Jeez, Yuki & Co. still can't recognize Hori without being all dressed up... What up with that?!

I wonder if she'll think to tell her folks when she gets home? Like, "Just so you guys know, Miyamura proposed just now and I said yes. I'll take my bath now. Make sure to leave me some cake for tomorrow!" ≧◡≦

I think Hori response was quick because she has her future secured... bear with me for a second, Hori knows that Miyamuras is smooth criminal and is a good businessman. He sold 4 cakes to two of his friends for the same reason. XD

Ah such a heartwarming ending which cracked me up also when hori said "I'll make you happy" (something men usually say) and miyamura pointed out lol, but nice seeing this mutual love and devotion between the two lol
The father though "what do you mean by "let me" " lmao miyamura is everyone's miyamura

*Spoilers about Kimi no Iru Machi*

There is this exact same marriage proposal in Kimi no Iru Machi, but that was after the two characters have gone through a LOT of hardships together. Hori and Miya, while being a cute couple, never really had anything stand in their way (btw where is that lesbian living next door to Miya?), so this proposal doesn't make me feel anything, except a little surprised. And she still "doesn't know anything" about him? did the mangaka just admitted this manga hasn't had much progress since around chapter 26?

That was one awkward marriage proposal

This chapter was so wholesome!

- Sengoku freaking over the bugs at Remi's! Ha, nice call back!
- Miyamura encouraging Kouichi for a change!
- And Wow! Wasn't expecting a freaking proposal of all things! But that was still a nice

the fact that I will never have a romance like this destroys me from the inside.
wonderful chapter by the way, hori and miyamura are impossibly sweet, maybe it's a bit too early for marriage but the scene was so heartwarming.
they love each other so much
