| Is the OVA a condensed version of the story or a prequel? |
| Some OVAs are completely unrelated to the actual plot of the head story. It's just like a branch, you don't HAVE to watch it to understand the story line. I'm pretty sure that some OVAs just condense the series, but most don't actually. They're just additional"episodes" that you don't have to watch. I tend to watch it after a series because then I am able to identify characters and things like that without getting confused. Sometimes the OVAs' setting takes place in the middle of the original story line, but it doesn't have any serious significance to it. Most times, that it. |
