This series has a interesting plot about the power of choice. If your choices are limited by a force greater than you, is that still freedom? Do you agree with the peacemakers to restrict humanities choices or the Dragoon's, who ultimately end up obeying humans every decision?

-My choice would be to side with the peacemakers. In my opinion even if your choices were limited, it is still a freedom of choice. ONE little girls death would prevent humanity from exterminating itself. In real life we have many wars because of mankind's greed and thirst for blood. Yes there is religion too but our human nature works against making real progress of regulating ourselves. We need an alien force to govern us on the basis of our survival. Not necessarily control every little thing. The peacemakers did allow the humans some freedom. Lastly, remember that the peacemakers were set up by the alien forces to protect humanity when the aliens could have chosen to exterminate humans. But if the coin was turned humanity surely would have killed all the aliens. Please share your thoughts! :)

The peacemakers are entirely evil and should be eradicated. Most of their reasons are bs. Humans are different from other beings just by two things: being self aware and having the need to pray. Humans reproduce much slower than any other species even in times after great wars, they can farm land in an sustainable manner (unlike locusts, frogs, etc) and can prevent self destruction. It is the right of choice. the traitorous peacemakers are just malfunctioning machines believing they know better than their creators. About the aliens they should be exterminated as well.
The false belief we are different comes from omparint us at top with food chain with organisms at the bottom who btw would destroy everything in a matter of months left without predators. Comparing with animals that have enough success to not only be at the top but also have spare time to enjoy themselves would be better.
Also a little question, woudl you agree to be part of the 90% that is randomnly killed once every few hundred years? Because this is how the peacemakers maintain balance by directly or indirectly killing humans. Normally they would use mind control to start wars that no side can actually win and end with death of many, but if that does not work because a country becomes too strong they simply kill people. So would you agree to be sacrificed?

Also as a note killing 90% of humans destroys gentic diversity and if you do this a few times they will die out at the first major epidemics. So the peacemakers are just genocidal traitorous murderers. There is nothing to debate or ponder
