welcome to mal addictions. here, you can introduce yourself to the group and admit you have a problem, because admitting is the first step. this is a safe place.

-how long have you been addicted to mal?
-when did you realize you had a problem?
-which forum boards are you most addicted to?
-has anyone enabled your addiction?
-have you ever managed to leave the forums? if so, why are you back?

Proper MAL shitposters won't identify themselves. They believe, at first just unconsciously, that their efforts pay off in order for this not to be required.

how long have you been addicted to mal?

Hm..about a year.

when did you realize you had a problem?

It's not a problem. My big activity doesn't impact my life in a negative way.

which forum boards are you most addicted to?

CD, AD, Current Events, Forum Games.

has anyone enabled your addiction?

Nah, it just happened.

have you ever managed to leave the forums? if so, why are you back?

Had a short hiatus once due to university. I came back because there were still shows to watch and MAL is the place to be for that.

Not addicted at the moment, probably got most "addicted" during August-September 2015.
when did you realize you had a problem?

I don't think I do, at least not any more.
which forum boards are you most addicted to?

Casual discussion and Games & Computers.
has anyone enabled your addiction?

I guess you could say that...

Yes, several times, and I'm not back currently. I have no plans to return this time either, I don't really have the time any more, not to mention I think I killed off some very good, dear brain cells to me in my time spent on the CD section.
I just use MAL for updating my lists and replying to comments currently.

Hi, my name is DeWolff, and I'm addicted to MAL since 2010. I first realized I had a problem, probably a few years ago, when I realized that I was talking about anime more than I was watching them. I'm most addicted to the forum games board. No one has directly enabled my addiction. And yes, I have left the forums before. I'm back because I needed a community to talk about anime with... ironically.

That being said, recently, I've been trying to focus more on my anime-viewing and visual novel-reading than spend countless pointless hours playing pointless games on MAL. I think I've made quite the progress. I've watched at least one episode of a single anime series on my "Watching" list per day, sometimes two days. It's at least better than what I had back then.

Although of course, now I'm distracted by something else entirely... I accidentally started playing Doom 3 because my anime and VNs were getting stale, so I needed the stimulation. So, two steps forward, one step back. I digress.

Anyway, nice to meet you all.
