This is terrible. Humor is bad, and art is made by a preschooler. I cannot comprehend the idea that people have this as their favorites.

Just saw this thread while skimming through chapter discussions

The humor and the sexual scenes are subjective indeed, I often take breaks while reading this because I felt that some scenes do feel disgusting, forced, and downright weird. Although it has its redeemable features like the emotional aspect of the show which may be the reason why some people highly regard this manga. Aiba's character development is something that you will be strangely impressed of since he gets the character development mostly from Kurumi and her sexual antics.

All in all, it's just really a weirdly presented show since it tries to incorporate drama, romance, and comedy in an inconsistent manner with frequent disturbing scenes. It might work with some people and might not with others who finds the oddity distasteful.

It's disgusting indeed, but the story is quite unique on it's own terms even though some parts were unnecessary to it, but there are a lot of intense emotional moments that would be impossible without this particular setting.

It's a piece that takes the traditional coming of age/bildungsroman theme and twist it (the male view towards sex is heavily decompiled because of the setting).

It was not a perfect series, and the fixation that certain mangakas have with those coming of age merged with twisted sex discovery to accomplish the growth of the characters can be unsettling buut, it's worth a read if you can bypass it (but i understand it's not for everyone liking, just like Aku no Hana that touches similar aspects but with other tones).

This is a manga that I wouldn't liberally recommend to people. It deals with themes that most readers might dislike and is simply just a niche product. I must admit that I didn't completely like this manga for its exploration of sadomasochism, but liked it for the way the character development was handled. The story starts off with a spineless individual with no self-confidence and how his sexual exploits with the female lead begins to change him to a different person. Everything the MC does is for the sake of becoming a more respectable person, so that he can on shoulder-to-shoulder with the girl he loves.

This manga oddly portrays character growth through sexual exploits. The relationship between the two leads and their exposition and development is done through their fetish.

All in all, if you're not okay with sadomasochism and find it to be disgusting then this manga is not for you. Rather, any Okada work is not for you.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

It would have been favourites worthy for me if not for the way it ended .Many things left unexplained .

What I like about it isn't the femdom aspect though .It's how the MC sees the female as his.....god .Again not the masochism but how he likes her so much .For example the part where he was told to do a sort of good luck thing where he ran up and down a mountain 100 times to have a wish granted .After doing that he did it again without looking to brag or anything like that just because he liked her so much that even if a small chance like the god answering his prayer came to be he would take it .I see this as the story of a guy who would do painfully pointless things for the sake of the girl he loved just because he loved her so much right from the beginning .

It's not something I'd recommend tho .

Disgustingly good for some reason. I can't put my finger on why.

+1 this recommendation. If you think this is disgusting you need to spend more time on the internet bruh.

This Might be because I'm a girl but I actually do like this manga, although to be more specific, kurumi.
Is she a manipulative bitch? Hell yeah she is, and I love it. You don't get characters that feel this real in many manga.
I'm in ch 29 and although a bit disgusted by aiba, I can see he has a lot of development in front of him.

Although the art isn't the best, it's not that bad, if you think it's bad, then you haven't read manga for long...
As for the humour, yeah, it's a bit stupid most times but given the type of manga it is, not that much funny stuff can happen besides "the geeks and their weird sexual preferences".

Not gonna be one of my favourites but I am enjoying it so far, but that's just my grain of salt.
