To think that people warned me against this season.. We got the most worldbuilding since the beginning of the franchise and a huge plot development in a single episode. This season actually inspires me to trust that sequel can be really good after all. I half expected Kusanagi to browse through pictures Reds making selfies with Blues, lol. --- On another note, Fushimi's simple scene in this episode made me wonder what's his actual goal in life. He may have gotten so much screen time in the franchise, but I still can't quite pin it down, despite him being my favourite character. At first I thought he joined Blues because they weren't just slacking around like Reds, but he actually objects the good relationship between the two clans when it's actively used for constructive progress of both society's and his new Clan's best interests. Does he really just not trust them? Or is there another reason he's being so negative about the Reds? |
