A question coming from Berserk

"In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God hovering above? At least it is true that man has no control; even over his own will "

I dont know for the english translation but in french the introduction generique of Berserk sound really philosophical , so , maybe it could be interesting to discuss what you think of this ? What's your opinion(s) on the question ?
