| Finally decided to finish watching these, and it makes me miss the series so much :( Can't believe it's been two years. It was nice that they ended with Hase's diary entry instead of continuing with Kaori's. I used to keep diaries, but never wrote in it everyday. This makes me want to start writing again. |
| If I haven't checked out my anime list, I would surely miss the specials! Thansk MAL! I've been watching till special ep2 and stopped over it perhaps I haven't been following the anime ever since animetake site is down. That last special is kinda amazing and surprising, perspective from Hase-kun! He's was not organized but I kinda get the gist of how excited he is to make that kind of entry. I do too my diary writing but not that kind of diary. I usually write mine when there is very special moments with like I made something peculiar or anything hehe I hope there is second 2 with this anime. I'll be looking forward to it. |

| At the end of the day, I respect the idea of these short specials, as we never actually see the diary entries Kaori writes in the main series; that makes seeing the specific things she writes and her personal writing style is rather interesting. And this final episode adds to that by giving us one of Hase's diary entries, which was interesting in terms of how disorganised his writing style was compared to Kaori's at least, but ultimately offered little new insight as he's the POV character of the series anyway. However, while I respect the idea here, in execution it's just a glorified set of recap episodes. Heavily abridged recap episodes, but recap episodes nonetheless. Even at no more than 2 minutes before this finale, they were honestly a slog to get through, which is a real shame as I do very much have a soft spot for this series. If I'd known that to be the case, I wouldn't have bothered with these, but oh well. 4/10, the highest I'm willing to rate a series of recap episodes. |
| Overall, I was surprised, how much gratefulness put Kaori into her diary.. I guess, it makes sense, because before that she lived uneventful life, so finally getting friends meant so much for her.. Even if I personally don't share the sentiment too much of how much grateful you feel to one or other things that were done.. I think it makes sense in Kaori's case, in her life.. |
