Kouji was such an idiot the entire episode. The town should be completely leveled by now with all these attacks and on screen destruction. This episode's mechabeast Abdora reminds me of Giant Robo. |

| Why is there a statue of a robot in the park? I'm curious as to why Dr. Yumi voted against modifying Aphrodite A for combat. I could speculate he doesn't want his daughter to fight and possibly die but she'll fight anyway and this also contradicts what he said in the previous episode about not only caring about their own lives. It's odd that the episode offers no insight into his motivations. |

| This episode had kinda reused animations/scene even from the last episode but this is from the early 70s so it's not surprising me. Kinda funny seeing Kouji "being in a mood" as his brother puts it and just let how much destruction and death probably pass by for his mood... Kouji pls lol. Also the misogyny in the 70s continue to be hilarious. |

| Wow...the male chauvinism of decades gone by was really apparent in this episode. They wouldn't upgrade Aphrodite A because it's being piloted by a woman. Like it's supposed to be her job to just kind of walk along behind Kouji and bask in the glory of his maleness or something. I'm glad times have changed since then...but we still have a ways to go! |

| I would say that here is a good opportunity to evolve the status quo with regard to the part devoted to the fighting. We could say that this episode is a mirror image of the condition experienced by women in the seventies, where we see how I am forced and stupid the reasons for rejecting an evolution of Aphrodite A. Thinking well, being in the fight to two, is better than be one. I also noticed here, but not only here, the great indifference that the characters show, when a catastrophic event happens, almost as if for them, was a common, shocking thing. |

| I feel everyone in this episode were really dumb. Koji was an idiot the entire episode and Dr. Yumi made no sense in his actions as Fronzel said 4 years ago (little late haha). But not only that, Sayaka gets beaten by another mechanical monster (as usual) and Koji rescue her (as usual). What I can't stand about this is that Koji saving Sayaka was the reason she decided she was wrong for wanting to help Mazinger and instead support him, giving the idea that she was the one acting against everyone. It's really interesting to see how anime in the 70's showed male chauvinism with such normality. As Talon said, it's great this behaviour is slowly being rejected by most cultures, however, with a lot of progress to be done. |

| I was browsing the internet while watching this episode. I don't really mind jerks (I like Joe Yabuki after all), but the protagonst here is the kind of jerk I don't like. Plus, the show is getting stale already. Definitely can't be marathoned. Will watch in doses like 4 episodes every 3 days. |
