| Well, this was kinda long even for a chapter 0... Not sure how I feel about this though. It seems too rushed with a lot of stuff happening and the prominent encounter. However, it does seem a bit important to recollect the events of the premise. |

| a new round starts, i'm almost hyped after the previous one :D (..should really pick up again the golden witch) mmmm... a recap? @stark "Well, this was kinda long even for a chapter 0..." of almost 50 pages, around 35 were the recap of the prequel, so the real chapter is only 15 pages just hope who's adapting the novel into a manga isn't planning of making a recap for each new stage.. so this time it's a mansion of magic users? with lots of doors likely with a magic user for each door? o_o interesting, but possibly even very messed up wonder if subaru just got in the wrong door and will now die, or if this first life is not over yet |

| Chapter 0 is basically just a super quick recap of Arc 1. But it has a few things that weren't in the actual Arc 1 manga. Like Subaru being at the convenience store and him naming the robbers. They were in the anime tho. Which weirdly makes the anime version of Arc 1 more comprehensive at least compared to the manga. The novels will be in more detail of course. What's funny is this chapter was released while the Arc 1 manga was still serializing... And the Arc 2 manga had a few chapters already since it started in November 2014 before the Arc 1 manga ended in February 2015. ...That's not confusing at all. It's wild how people laughed when they found out Arc 5 manga started while the Arc 4 manga is still ongoing. But the same thing happened with Arc 1 and 2 mangas. Later with Arc 2 and 3 mangas too. :| If nothing else, I suppose it's efficient. But people who only read the Re:ZERO manga would be so confused. Anyway, the art of this manga looks good. Everything looks more detailed and Emilia looks more like Emilia. I also like how it actually has gore this time. Arc 1 manga didn't seem too gorey despite the things that happened in it. At this rate, I might prefer Arc 2 artist's art over Arc 1 and 3's. Loved that first color page even though it was a bit spoilery. |
