| Ah I am so happy Ei-chan finally won a match after many losses! The America arc is great so far. It was interesting to learn about "the habit of losing" and I love how this show keeps everything quite realistic. Eiichirou is slowly improving and adjusting to his western competitive environment. Now that his skills are great, it was nice to see that a moment of mindfulness (like tying his shoes and taking a deep breath) can release some pressure on his strong instinct to win. I am looking forward to Ei-chans next match! |

| Great episode, and it feels so satisfying seeing Maruo finally get a win in America lol. He's probably lost the most amount of games as a protagonist in anime given how much we've seen him in the show and how many times he's knocked out early or loses whether in big or the smallest of margins. He found himself some rhythm and routine to keep himself composed without mentally trying too hard on something and losing out on another (like him focusing on his control and losing the killer blow in winning). Alex and Marcia did help out too in helping him with some advice along the way in small doses too. I love them, and really most of the supporting cast in America so far (even if most of them haven't really been explored and don't really need to be). |
