Well, although I may not have much experience with Anime, I do indeed have a favorite one. My #1 favorite anime is currently Angel Beats! There are many reasons why I could explain that it's my favorite but I am only going to be explaining two reasons. This reasons are because one this show touched my heart the most out of any anime I have seen and two, it made me think about things more than any other Anime I have seen and yes I'll admit I cried the last two episodes but I think the
Animes that make you cry are the good ones. It was such a wonderful anime and if you haven't seen it yet, it is one I would definitely recommend.

That is great to here Angel Beats is your favorite anime! It also got me a little emotional and was one of the better ones i have seen. One of my favorite anime is Clannad. I could go on about how this show exceeds expectations and rises above most other anime, but i will just give you a few of my main reasons why i love Clannad. Firstly Clannad in the first season was able to be one of the funniest shows that i have seen while keeping the main focus on the romance element. Lastly Clannad is great anime because of after story(NUFF SAID!!). Just kidding what makes after story so great is while most anime (and i mean most) end when the main characters graduate high school this show uniquely continues to the life after school and without spoiling, the second half is so good but so sad that it will break you. Overall it is a show that most people know about but if its one you haven't seen....watch it, it will change your life!!!!

p.s. thank you too all who make posts on this forum, its good to hear others opinions.

My #1 anime used to be Steins;Gate, but very recently that position has been dethroned by Fate/Zero. I started the Fate series with the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel, which essentially made me into a fanboy. Having that background of the F/SN visual novel, going into the prequel (Fate/Zero) was fascinating for me. And it delivered in every way imaginable. It was literally perfect for me: it was epic, it was dark and disturbing, it had great comic relief in the form of Iskandar, it had an amazing character cast with a lot of depth, interesting moral exploration, it was engaging, the animation & sound was incredible too of course, and yeah it was just basically perfect for me. xD

my favourite is Sands of Destruction.
Not only because was it the 1st anime I watched, but also because it contains the prevalent theme of prejudice/racism. It's also a video game on the DS

Mine is GITS (also first dubbed anime watched) and no matter how many times i watch it (5) it gets better because i understand the story and the characters and actually discover small interesting detail while watching.

P.s. Angel beats was also really nice- nice mix of drama and comedy - also best piano op ever! and the tears .:((

I like shows when the main protagonist are doing bad things for good reasons & the feeling of what happens IF he/she finally gets caught. Shows like Breaking Bad & Monster for example. 😁

Starswirl9- i also really enjoyed the fate/zero series i haven't seen or read anything else from the fate series but i hope to soon. i love the battle anime!!

Woowoogrub-that seems like a really interesting show, i haven't seen it yet but you have sparked my interest!!

turquoise_lady-if you are talking about the origininal movie i loved it, i also have a review on it if you want to check it out, but if you are talking about stand alone complex, i as of recent own the series on disc and i am very excited to watch it!!

hiddentest007- Buddy i have been really meaning to go and watch code geass i hear nothing but good things about it!!

I don't have a favourite. There are many I love, but none that stands out in abundance above the rest.

Some I do love are Steins; Gate, Code Geass, Clannad, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Nichijou, Guilty Crown and many more.

Zainox i agree with you all of the anime that i have seen that you also stated were pretty great. Also great taste though are some of my favorites as well!!
