Didn't like the whole ganguro look but her body was pretty hot while she was getting raped. Looked like the crowd was enjoying it too XD

She totally lost it for a moment there...

Didn't expect her to get shot :O looks like she survived though. Why even get that girl to be the sniper?? Made the worst shot possible. Happy end in the end though. She became a sex worker and liked it by looks of things.

Animation was as dynamic as ever. And the h scene with newscaster was pretty good as well. She still got the moves!

So... they wasted an awesome 2004 animation on a hentai with a fat old man raping a hot tanned girl...? And at the end, they rushed the only 'foreplay' sex...?

She was completely mind broken as she literally lost it and didn't care whether somebody had come to save her and I am pretty much sure that the girl died on the spot.The bullet pierced right through her heart if you see the shot.Later it was just told that she was rushed to the hospital.So yeah if we completely ignore how brutally an innocent girl was raped and then killed for selfish reasons of a bitch reporter and all the culprits of her death survived then we may enjoy this show.

Well, I don't really remember, but I feel my past self was certain she is still alive. If she is dead, then too bad I guess, but it's not confirmed in any case.

Etsuko's commentary is still pretty solid. "As you can see, things are getting worse. The suspect's c*ck is still rock hard." And I suppose the most amusing thing was when the sniper started celebrating even though she had shot the hostage instead of the other guy.

This is black comedy at its finest. The humor is definitely not everyone (especially that rape scene), but wow I was laughing all the way. I can't help but think that Etsuko is supposed to be a parody of real-life reporters who are willing to discard their morals for the hottest stories.

The gal didn't make it at the end of the anime when the girl switches professions she even says she was let go for that reason.
That plot was really something else.

Given that she's the only one not shown during the closing moments of the movie, and that her being rushed to hospital is dismissed since the channel is changed before you discover if she survived or not, how likely is it that she actually lived?

Other than that, I agree with everyone else. Anime was meh. Fine for what it is I guess.

It really is. I guess it's probably not sensible to be complaining about people not getting the plot and themes of hentai of all things, but it seems obvious that it's a very dry, dark and over-the-top satire of the modern media machine, and of personal ambition. You get to have some great off-the-wall characters behaving in ridiculous ways. It doesn't quite transcend its pornographic roots, nor does it necessarily have a lot to say, but it is a great example of making something interesting where people least expect it and committing to it.

It's interesting to see that one of the directors went on to do more mainstream work for Naruto and Bleach, and had come from doing a fair bit of work on Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho:

While the two were talking over the news, you can make out the news saying things like 'for a moment... but... stablilized...' something about 1 day. So I think the news says she lives. However, we know the deception done by the lady newscaster so maybe we cannot trust the same news program without seeing the girl alive ourselves.

The hentai is closer to a 'spoof' not a 'satire', since the latter only works if it is tackling a relevant topic. Journalists arranging rapes of innocents for the public's amusement does not seem to be a notable phenomenon in the 2000s. Aside from some netizens in porn sites, people generally consider rape to be a serious crime (and of course such netizens are not featured in this hentai since its main purpose is to sexual arouse its intended audience, not satirise anything).
