| ...of what is really going on in the story? Here's what I think (whether I'm right or wrong, I love how this story makes you think)... Hachikuma (Fake-Hitaki's Brother)- Since he is assigned a mission to kill those in Kagetora's village he is in disguise using the appearance of the real Hachikuma. Hachikuma (Real)- Fell through a hole into the future where he met his wife and daughter (Beni). He was the one that was supposed to guide Hitaki. Renkaku-Dono: He's able to erase memories and has wanted Enji for his own because she (aside from Beni) isn't scared of his right eye. He is the one guiding Kagetora. (Although he seems a bit suspicious, I believe he's actually good just because the story so far has been completely twisted - in a good way) Kagetora (14 years old): When he was about 14, he met Beni-Sama. He fell in love with her- his first love. When he later meets Beni-hime through an assignment, the princess reminds him of Beni-Sama- so he treasures her. "The Missing Link": (My theory is) Renkaku figures out that Hachikuma (Fake) is the one doing the killings in the village and so he goes to Kagetora and erases everything before meeting Beni-hime. (So this would seem to Kagetora that Beni-hime is his "first love" and that his mission alone is just to be by Beni-hime's side. Kagetora (18 Years old): When he falls through the hole into the future and sees Beni-sama he is reminded of Beni-hime. Because his memories are erased it would seem that Beni-hime is the one he originally loved, but in reality is was her all along. (He just needs that "bubble" to be popped by something...Anything!) With the three moles (present)... and three moles scene in the past. -I think your are right about Kagetora remembering "insignificant" situations in his past triggered by déja vu. I think it may have to take something major for him to fully remember or something/someone to remove his "amnesia." I don't think Kagetora was referring to the princess when he said "this happened before too"... Of course, I wonder-> Did he mean -the three moles or the intimacy between the two when he said that? I guess if he meant the intimacy it could mean two things (in my opinion): a. In the past, 14 year old Kagetora and Beni-Sama was intimate at some point. b. He is remembering Beni-hime... (which is probably unlikely because then he would feel guilty.) As for Renkaku: He erases Kagetora's memory (everything before he met Beni-hime) to protect him... Sorry another theory came to mind... What if Renkaku erased Beni-Sama (future) 's memory to protect her and helped her (either unknowingly or knowingly) get back to the future.... It goes both ways- Kagetora (may possibly be) remembering Beni-sama pointing out his 3 moles ----And Beni-Sama remembering the 3 moles but not recognizing Kagetora when she first sees him. (The moles triggering her memories)... just thought of that after I read this and this . Ok back to what I was saying.... Hachikuma(fake-Hitaki's brother) finds out that Renkaku is on to him and possibly knows his secret so he kills him. So then he would be roaming around in the past doing more missions.... Sorry I get carried away hehe |
