| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Oh hey. This was a nice series all in all. Things I liked: Very enjoyable experience. I really liked how episodic it was - each chapter had a conflict, climax, and resolution. It was nice having a series I could read casually. Nice job of showing a healthy married life. It was nice that they never lost their sexual drive (like most couples who get tired of each other). It was sweet. The comedy was A+! Although I didn't love the ugly chibi/cartoon renditions of Setsuko from time to time, it was still done well. Things I disliked: Half of the time consisted of Setsuko trying to suck on her man's cucumber. Too much pervertedness, or maybe I'm just not fond of the dominant female because I'm not like that. LOL Kyousuke is girly. Way too girly. But still hot. They waited until chapter 40 to start discussing having children? Wtf? And why did Setsuko initially go against it? A few pages later she's like "Okay! Let's do it~" Another thing I didn't like about Setsuko is that she was too reliant and desperate for her man. There's nothing else special about her. I like romance like Nodame Cantabile where both male and female lead have a talent they're both good at while in this manga, only the male is specialized while our main girl is just your average office lady. 7/10 |
