I like flashy colours though ;-;

The animation is cool.

Whole thing is a bit oversexed but i dont care, its more surreal that way.

I'm not even sure myself. This is anime, right? Or similar to it. Either way, thread moved to Anime discussion board unless it can be proven that it should be in Music/Entertain board

I liked it when the music turned all R&B. And then... the bad end of Gurren Lagann happened.

It's weird. I don't really like this but I really want it to be an anime now.

People think this is sexy?
Im pretty sure its supposed to be the exact opposite.

If anything its a critique of otaku culture and fanservice.

You know it is trance music with fan service at the beginning, and than it goes into wtf mode with I think is like a form of hentai which is something I don't enjoy watching. But the songs are ok so I gave it a 7/10

The message is right there in the goddamn video, i dont understand how people have trouble interpreting it.
There is a scene where the girl vomits cum into the guys mouth, you honestly believe this was supposed to be wanking material and nothing else?
Unless you have fucking weird taste, then sure, whatever.

Does there have to be a deeper meaning? All the explanations I keep seeing just sound like people are reaching and over thinking things. I just thought it was a bunch of neat looking visuals that were randomly thrown together.

Wow, people here seem to not like it.

This has become really popular! I saw it a couple of times on reddit, 4chan, it even reached facebook, and know here.

Some peeps in reddit had some interesting interpretations of this short.

From what I can gather, this is the story of a guy who lost his girlfriend and delved into porn (or simply distraction) rather than fighting for her and wakes up every morning to do the same thing

This is my interpretation, let's see if others agree:
I think this animation is about porn addiction.
In the beginning, it's all about being attracted to the whole woman. The dancing girls wore tight clothes, but the attraction was to the women themselves.
The consumer eventually starts to break down women to their individual parts. This is represented by the removal of clothing, and special focus on the boobs, buttholes, and vulvas of the women.
His, eh, hobby, turns into an addiction. This is represented by the 4-eyed sex-demon.
As he continues on the downward spiral of his addiction, he becomes consumed by it. This is represented by him being smashed between breasts, and literally being eaten by sexy women.
He eventually loses all sense of women being people. Which is first represented by his disinterest in the tearful, pleading woman.
He then demonizes women (possibly because he doesn't have one of his own?). This is represented by shooting them in his power-suited fantasy. This pushes him beyond the veil, which is represented by him reaching out for a woman, who is then lost in the abyss.
His addiction takes full control, represented by the now adorned, floating, powerful sex-demon.
The hope/fantasy of being with a real woman is completely lost, represented by the shattering of the picture.
All that's left is his addiction to porn, represented by the massive amounts of explosions in his struggles, and the further adornment of his sex-demon.
His addiction completely consumes him, as represented by the literal consumption of his body, once again.
Finally, this pattern is cyclical, as represented by the looping of the video.
My thoughts: It's a bit preachy, but the struggle is probably real, or at least relatable to many.

I liked it. The character design was awesome. The music was nice, animation was also good plus the pallet was great.
It was really entertaining.

edit: And great, and I mean really great tits.

Well I thought the crying woman was his girlfriend(or recently exed), she was in the picture that was most likely what was originally in that digital picture frame. She also showed up inside that last boss.
That big red beating thing with valves was most likely his heart. Which is why she showed up being taken over by that last boss which might have represented porn or whatever.

The green splatter stuff from him shooting the girls was most likely cum and was possibly him orgasming. He wiped it off and then the floor shattered underneath him as the lust or horniness ran out and he started feeling regret and remembering his girlfriend. Which then lead to the heart scene.

It's an interesting interpretation, though I have to disagree a little. There's some details like the ex girlfriend that were left out.

I think it's more like as follows:

Dude (Name is Syuchan I believe) has girlfriend (Hanachan), she's the normal non-slut pink seen in the photos.
Syuchan begins a journey into pornography and otaku culture, as depicted by the blue haired girls near the beginning, the model armor on his desk and the figmas on his shelf.
He begins to pay less and less attention to her as he becomes consumed by obsession with fantasy otaku culture and pornography.
Hanachan tries to reconnect with him but can't shake him out of his obsessions.
He falls so far into his into the world of porn and waifus that he loses interest in Syuchan.
He kicks the dust and shrugs, dumping her because his feelings for her have been numbed by his obsessions
He remembers all of his memories with Hanachan and wants to break free from the shackles of his obsessions.
He's already so far indulged in his obsessions that he doesn't know how to fix things.
To help him cope, he secludes himself even further.
No matter how much he seclude himself in his own little world, it doesn't help because he can't escape his own feelings/memories.
He wages a metaphorical war with the hypersexualised girls in an attempt to break out of his stupor as represented by the FPS section onwards.
The final scene represents that every day he fails to break free from the culture he's so far secluded himself in, and he's doomed to repeat the same every day.

I think the entire video is a criticism of otaku culture in general and the slippery slope of escapism. Both interpretations are perfectly valid, as are many more; which is why I love the video so much. It's so open to different thoughts and interpretation which can provoke some great discussion.

No, I find it pretty obvious - it depicts otaku obsession - the shit-in, the trashy room, the figurines (NGL's, to boot), the interactive software, VNs, gaming (perhaps even an eroge combo), and all in an anime form and *.Loid music.
In summary, the surreal world of modern otaku culture in 6 min.
As a result, he ended as a zombie (head severed, eyes still alive).

But I think he was just sleeping and dreaming about the stuff his head was full of :)
