| Noike development. Ep 3. Pros: Noike: Much like ep 3 of OVA 1 and eps 1-3 of OVA 2, this is a focus ep on one character. Noike once more shows she's not that bad and her characteristics as the normal/stern mothering type. She does have some backstory and she straight tells the girls of her true involvement in the Tenchi game. Her flashbacks are most likely going to pull into the plot later so i'll just wait. This also puts in her shipping moment by having a lunch and bath with tenchi much like Ayeka's back in Ova 1. Plot!: Mihoshi's family is coming to town. The fact that they have the pull to get a ship like CHobimaru means a lot for her family's status. And we see the new bad guy's plot come to fruition next ep much like the formula of the past ovas. Special mention goes to a short sequence where it shows Mihoshi in a bad state. Directly relating to the noodle incident where she "burnt out". Now that is some backstory on Mihoshi I'd like to see. Also her brother might be a twin or the Kuramitsu's just really look alike when young. Nitpick: Ryoko and Ayeka: This ep went on to show that while Ayeka and Ryoko do love tenchi, they are not really equipped to do much for him if certain situations call for it. The biggest going to Ryoko since she knows jack about cooking or taking care of sickness. So Noike fills out the Team Medic for the Harem. It's a bitter pill to swallow but it is what it is. 4/5. It was a good moving ep for development. |

| Harem level: threat to state security ^this is why Tenchi is the best harem anime Just when this was starting to get tedious, the anime goes back into political intrigue and space business mode. To me, Noike seems just like Kiyone from the universe timeline, but blue hair. |
