Residents of the Territory Ruler of the Forest Elizabeth, The Playful Lord of the Forest Care to make a deal?~ Age: Unknown MG: Lilim Bio: Elizabeth is extremely intelligent, clever and playful. She's usually seen with a relaxed and understanding demeanor but if certain subjects are mentioned or asked then she shall quickly become cold and merciless. It is even said if she is upset to a point, her raw demonic energy can overcome any close by human and cause them to lose consciousness while enticing certain monster girls to revert to primal instincts. Although Elizabeth is one of the newest lords, it has become rumored that she wanders throughout her land in search of individuals to converse, play or even make deals with. It is not unusual for her to offer very enticing deals that most couldn't refuse. This has led many to refer to her as "The Wish Granter" while others have called her "The Devil". History: The eldest of three sisters, Elizabeth was drastically different from her close kin. She openly encouraged the study and influence of human culture in order to advance it. The youngest sister, Victoria, disagreed completely. She believed that human should be controlled and manipulated for entertainment. This difference in belief sparked a massive fight that still exists to this day. However, due to several extremely critical events, Elizabeth was sealed in a far off land and forgotten by time. Eons passed before the lich Samantha discovered the location of Elizabeth and released her. Now as the lord of the forest, Elizabeth is achieving what she had once began those many many years ago. Elizabeth's Assistant and Closest Attendant Samantha, The Drifter of Dreamlands Science and Magic will always triumph. Age: Unknown MG: Lich Bio: Just as intelligent as Elizabeth but prefers to use her knowledge differently. Samantha is usually found in her tower working on various experiments. When the lord calls, the lich instantly appears by her side and follows any orders given. Once the assignment is finished she will slip back to her tower and continue working. Cold, emotionless (Except on special occasions)and calculating are her usual moods. History: Not much is know of Samantha's past except she once served a powerful Baphomet that once knew the old Lilim. After spending decades of searching, The lich finally was able to triangulate the location of Elizabeth's tomb. She spent years completing and perfecting the ritual needed to awake her. Just she was able to complete the former lord and her Baphomet attempted to stop them but it was too late, Elizabeth was free. Dispatching the witch and her baphomet quickly, Elizabeth began reshaping the territory. Samantha was placed as her assistant and her court mage, allowing her to dive deeper into her personal research. The Lord's Generals Cathrine (Cathy), The Silent Watcher of the Southeast Do whatever it takes to ensure peace. Age: 52 MG: Elf Bio: Cold, quiet and determined, Cathrine will do whatever it takes to protect the people of her territory. The Elf constantly plans out everything perfectly and executes it without fail. She gets along with mostly everyone except for Diana, constantly becoming furious at her for never planning anything out and constantly getting into trouble. History: Born into a very poor family, Cathrine constantly had to fight for anything she had. On several occasions she was raped by some of the more "daring" men of the land and soon developed a hatred for all men. At the age of 12 she was finally accepted into the elven guard as an apprentice. Cathy, at that point, found out how manipulated and corrupted the guard was, vowing to change it.Over the years she slowly climbed in the ranks until she was second in command of the head guard itself. When Elizabeth came into power she quickly dismissed the current elven leader and asked Cathy if she was prepared for the job. Within seconds, Cathy yelled at the top of her lungs "I'll never fail you!" deeming her the command of the new elven force through the territory. Diana, The Unyielding Hunter of the Northeast Fighting without spirit is like not fighting at all! Age: 53 MG: Amazoness Bio: Loud, keen and extremely blunt, Diana's only goal in life is to simply be the best at fighting. She constantly picks fights and causes trouble whenever she can but, when the time comes, she also is nearly unstoppable on the battle field due to her excessive combat knowledge and prowess. Her relationship to Cathy is that of a rival, constantly trying to one up her whenever she can. Cathy usually never even gets involved in such matters until the amazon challengers her formally, forcing the elf to compete. History:Born form a tribe of strong willed amazons from the north, Diana quickly learned how to fight and soon became the right hand of the tribe by the age of 15. The tribe had always been against Dorthy and constantly conspired to overthrow her with little success. Finally, when Elizabeth took the throne they decided to try one more time and assaulted the capital. Within a few hours the palace was retaken by the elves and the amazons were brought to trial. Due to the lose of the tribes chief, Diana was placed in command and brought before Elizabeth. There, the amazon told her story and swore that she would never give up fighting. Completely amused and flattered, Elizabeth made her a general and placed her in command of the north, giving her tribe some of the freedom they were asking for. Irene, The Decisive Diplomat of the Northwest All fights can be solved over a simple cup of tea. Age: 73 MG: Dryad Bio:Perceptive, Keen and Intelligent, Irene always tackles problems with crafty wordplay and decisive tactics. Out of the four generals, Irene is usually seen as the most calm and collected but can become enraged when pushed to the very limit. When this side of herself comes out she becomes very cunning and vindictive, viciously ruthless in accomplishing her goal. History:Born in raised in a small town the border of Kaori, Irene lived a simple life until her second birthday when her whole town was ransacked and burned by slavers. The newly orphaned dryad wandered the forests until a small group of dryads found her and brought her the capital, raising her as their own. At an early age the girl took a quick interest in political science and politics as a whole and quickly immersed herself into the subject in order to change the world as it was. When Elizabeth took the throne, Irene was currently teaching at the newly founded university for economics and political science in the capital. Upon hearing the growing reputation on this dryad, the new Lord listened to one of her many lectures about changing the current world through diplomacy. Impressed with several of her ideas, Elizabeth quickly asked her to become one of her generals. Irene answered yes and took the position of diplomat, traveling constantly to the different territories and talking with their lords on matters of politics in the name of her lord. Mirabelle (Mira), The Messenger Wall of the Southwest ... Age: Unknown MG: Gnome Bio:Quiet, Keen and Focused, Mirabelle always keeps quiet and allows her actions to speak for her. Most of the time she keeps to herself and shows almost no emotions, becoming what is in essence a stone wall. When Elizabeth gives her a task, Mira completes it perfectly and without fail, exceeding everyone's expectations. History:When Elizabeth took the throne, her and Samantha examined Dorthy's old laboratory. Upon entering they found several Monstergirls being experimented on. Among them was a Gnome with a small tag placed on her cage with the name "Mira". Releasing her, Elizabeth soon found out that Dorthy had almost completely destroyed her mind. Upset and frustrated, the new lord spent some time slowly putting her mind back together. In the end Elizabeth was unable to completely repair her but at least reconstructed what she could. The Gnome remembered little aside from her name being Mirabelle. Despite this, the Gnome was eternally grateful and pleaged her life to Elizabeth. Other Important Groups Exercitus The main army run by Diana. Although it is young, the Exercitus has grown to be the second largest fighting force currently on the island. Comprised of mostly Amazons and Elves, the force is currently spaced around the entire territory in equal parts to maintain order. The Green Guard The magi council run by Samantha. It deals with all crimes and problems associated with magic within the territory as well as pushes magical research for Lord Elizabeth. It is also known to educate specially gifted individuals with a talent for magic. |

Houses made of stone are usually constructed by stacking several blocks of stone together and cementing them using an early natural substance found in the area while the roofs are made of thatched straw. Higher quality housing will have more solid pieces of stone or cobblestone that are reinforced into place by beams of wood or stone columns while roofs are made of wood. Capital City: Elewyr The city of Elewyr, at first glance, appears to be a city out of a children’s story with elves living atop trees and stone streets bustling with trade yet even this city has its troubles. At the heart of this city sits a massive tree, The Grand Palace. It houses the lord’s throne room, quarters and other additional rooms. It also is the home of the Elven guard squad as well as the Government for the entire territory. There are four entrances into the Palace, all leading into a large hall. At the center a large spiral staircase leads you up to the throne room and other quarters. Surrounding the Palace is a large circular market, the main trading hub of the city. Using the nearby river, the city imports and exports goods across the island. Many traders and merchants live in cobblestone and wood homes here, offering their services for simple coin. At/near the center of the market rests the University of Social Science and Economics. Founded before Elizabeth's crowning, the university was severely smaller due to the limitations placed by Dorothy. When Elizabeth took over the entire university changed, gaining more fame due to the open market environment. Around the market resides the upper class housing, the tree homes. Situated high in large trees, these individuals life a very comfortable lifestyle compared to almost everyone in the city. Wooden bridges connect the different homes together, allowing travel between the different communities and houses. Most of the poor or uneducated dwell in the lowlands near the river. They live in half destroyed homes, usually made of stone, or simple wooden houses built upon stone or wood stilts. This part of the city is a common place for thugs and thieves to form small closely knit groups in order to survive. The city is accessible by four main cobblestone paved streets. These lead from the Palace central all the way to the rural outskirts, connecting with several smaller alleys and streets along the way. General Large Population Cities Aendrithor(Southeast): Elven City and Home to Cathy The city looks extremely similar to Elewyr with the exception of housing mostly being within the giant trees above. Trade and commerce come from river traders and other travelers, making the bases of these trees large market areas. At the center is a large tree, making the council building and home of Cathy. The city is made up of a representative council and a overall representative for the entire Elven nation, which is Cathy. Faldarfar(Northeast): Amazoness's City and Home to Diana A large city mainly focused on combat and training of troops for Elizabeth's main army. The city features a large training arena as well as a camp mainly focused on training and educating whoever comes wishing to push their prowess in combat and for the good of the country. Diana, who is the Amazoness representative, stands as the head of the city and, on occasion, oversees the training of the military forces. Westholm(Northwest): Dryad's City and Home to Irene A large city founded from a massive University based on the principles of Natural Science. The school was created shortly after Irene came to power and began greatly influenced the region, pushing to found a great center of learning. The university holds a number of grand departments from basic biology to more basic forms of chemistry. Mathematics and Physics are also taught to a degree on more basic ideas. Irene, the leading principle of the school, using stays in her home on the grounds and teaches basic social sciences in her spare time. Lochroch(Southwest): Gnome City and Home to Mira A large city encased in a large earthen dome, supporting a wall that runs along part of the border of Kaori. The city was created when a small population of Gnomes began to fight against the corruption of Kaori and started to cover themselves from it using a giant rock dome as protection. The city began to grow in number as did the dome and now it's size averages almost 1000 meters in length and less then half of that in height. The entire dome is lite up using a glowing type of powder found deep under the ground by gnomes, providing great light for the citizens of the city. The city itself is mostly quiet as the majority, if not all, of the population is Gnomes who usually live out their lives and work on a mine. A small river running underground provides fresh water and a growing market/trading center outside allows trade between the city and the outside world. The wall created by the gnomes is supported by various elven groups that patrol the area frequently. |

Lore and Cultural Information Lore General Laws With the rise of Elizabeth also came new laws. These laws were designed to stop the constant infighting and terror wrought from the previously lord. Some common laws: - "Equal under the Law" : This basically means that all citizens of Elizabeth's land are equal in the eyes of the law. - Slavery: Slavery is expressly banned upon the principle that it hinders the effect of "Equal under the Law". - Demons: Demons, and all sub types, are placed at a slightly expectation when it comes to actions within the territory itself. This is mainly due to Elizabeth placing more "responsibility" upon her closer relatives to ensure peace is kept in the territory. Rumors - There is rumor of a small division run by Mira called "The Shadows". Nothing is known about it except that if someone ever sees a "Rider in Red" then the individual(s) are never heard from again. Cultural Information Northern Culture - Mix of Celtic and Anglo-Saxon Architecture and Culture - Various MGs mimic the cultural behaviors of these different peoples. (Excludes Elewyr) - Most MGs live within scattered tribes that communicate with each other for trade or meeting purposes only. |

History and Current Events Past Events The rise of a new Lord (Dorothy) Without the knowledge of most of the islands inhabitants a new powerful Lord has risen up in the north-eastern forest. As of last, the most powerful Monster girl in that region was a Baphomet named Yara. Lately her behavior was strange, but now it's clear what the reason was: Her witch-servant Dorothy. The witch overpowered her former master and is now in control as a self-proclaimed Lord. Replacement of Dorothy: Write Up: “It’s almost finished…” The lich muttered as she continued to chant. The full moon hung in the sky as if to illuminate the act this being was preforming. Suddenly the lich heard the footsteps of someone all too familiar, Yara. “Stop chanting.” The Baphomet ordered, scythe drawn and ready for battle. “You’re too late…” The old sorcerer replied, turning to stare at her opponent. “My lord rises again!” Instantly Yara attacks and slashes at the lich. The young looking girl simply jumps back and stands next to a large coffin. The Baphomet prepares to charge again but a voice commands her to halt. Slowly a witch steps out from brush, Dorothy. “Did you really think you could hold me off for long with such simple animations?” The witch added, joining the side of Yara. “Of course not but they served their purpose.” The lich announced. “Rise master! Destroy this witch and Baphomet and take your rightful place at the throne!” Several moments passed before Dorothy spoke up. “Did you really think I would allow you to raise her?” The girl’s began to fill with horror. “What did you do?!” “I stopped the flow of energy… I’m surprised you didn’t notice.” She pulled out her staff and struck the girl with a quick bolt of lightning. The lich tumbled to the ground, motionless for several moments. “She used up most of her energy on that failed summoning… No matter, Yara.” The Baphomet nodded and strolled over to pick up the lich. Suddenly quiet giggling filled the air. “After years of sleeping I awake to such violence…” A voice stated. Yara prepared her scythe while Dorothy slowly filled with horror. “Impossible…” She muttered. “You… You don’t scare me Elizabeth!” Dorothy yelled, slightly shaking. “Oh but I should~” The woman whispered into the witch’s ear. Dorothy spun around yet saw no one. She turned back and saw Elizabeth holding the defeated Baphomet in the air. “How… How did you…” Dorothy stuttered, slowly moving away. “Even with all this power you are still just a witch.” The woman muttered before covering the whole area in darkness. Summary: A lich called Samantha used some of the concentrated energy from the surrounding city of Elewyr to resurrect a Lilim called Elizabeth. Dorothy and Yara attempted to stop the ritual but were too late and ended up being killed by Elizabeth. She has assumed the title of lord of the land, asserting her dominance and influence through the use of the four main tribes. At first the tribes refused, but after demonstrating and asserting her power they quickly submitted and allowed her to rule. The Dalmavar Revolution Write up: “My brothers and sisters!” The woman cried, standing atop a large stage. “Now is the time to fight!” The groups of men, woman and monster girls that gather there in the center of the town stood silent, awaiting the next words that the Jinko wished to say. “For centuries we have had to deal with the unending suppression of a unseen lord but no more!” The energy from the tiger was exhilarating and overpowering, gaining some of the crowd’s attention. “Those days are finally past us with the rise of a new lord! Lord Elizabeth has just taken the throne so she is weak and unorganized! All I ask is that you stand by me and fight so we may take back our land for ourselves!” The woman raised her fist into the air. “WHO IS WITH ME?!” The crowd started to cheer, hopeless and ready to give their lives in order to achieve a better life. The Jinko nodded and walked off the stage, joining her Succubus assistant. “Things are going smoothly?” The tiger asked. “Yes, everything is in place and ready to go.” The demon smiled and handed the tiger some items. “The next stop is Ardleith so let us get a move on before the Elves start suspecting something.” The tiger nodded and headed into the group to organize them. “Ah… Mortals are so fascinating~” The succubus muttered before giggling and joining the tiger. Summary: Due to the harsh treatments of Dorothy while she was lord, a Jinko by the name of Katelyn has started an uprising in the small town of Dalmavar. To make matters worse Katelyn has also been seen being helped by a mysterious and powerful succubus named Vicky. Since then the uprising as grown substantially large and begins to look more threatening by the day. With Elizabeth currently preoccupied with other matters, Diana and Cathy have been charged with quelling the revolt before it grows too large. Conclusion “Gods damn you…” The Jinko stated, falling to one knee and breathing heavily. “Did you honestly except to beat me in single combat? That’s funny!” The Amazoness, Diana, exclaimed. The confident warrior slowly walked closer and lifted up the injured mammal. Her grip around the tiger girls neck increased until a fit of coughs overcame her already stricken breathing. “Watch your strength Dia, our lord asked for her safe return to the capital.” Catharine, the elf, dropped from her tree down into the clearing. “I know that, Cathy.” The strong headed woman replied as she let the now unconscious tiger fall to the earth. “Then be sure to follow orders next time idiot.” Cathy suggested while checking to see if the tiger was still breathing. “Just out cold, good.” “I never understand your reasoning sometimes.” Diana retorted, swinging her sword a little and surveying the area. Several dozens of bodies covered the field, most of which were Jinko and other creatures that supported Katelyn in her attempts to revolt. The revolt had gained some substantial growth but when Diana’s and Catharine’s forces invaded Dalmavar and the neighboring towns the great resistance soon faded and majority of the forces surrendered with little fighting. Some escaped, along with Katelyn, and headed towards the border only to be caught by Diana and Catharine themselves in a well-organized trap. After several hours of fighting and countless, the two generals dispatched the remaining forces and quickly defeated the fugitive Jinko. “Let’s head out, we have paperwork to fill out.” Catharine stated as she headed out again. “That might have to wait a second.” Diana added, dropping into an offensive position. As if appearing out of air, a girl stood before the powerful warrior and smiled. “I’m going to assume you are Vicky… Correct?” Catharine asked. “That would be correct~” The Succubi smiled, bowing slightly. “It’s a pleasure to meet such excellent puppets such as yourselves~” “Puppets?! Don’t make me laugh!” The Amazonness chuckled. “If this pitiful tiger was any indication I’d say this shouldn’t take half as long as her.” “Careful Diana!” The Elf warned but spoke too late, moving quickly to stop the already charging warrior. The demonic woman couldn’t help but grin as she easily defected the shot and touched her finger to Diana’s forehead. Instantly, a cry of agony erupted from the Amazon and she fell to her knees, still barely clinging to consciousness. “Good, I almost thought that might kill you.” Vicky stated. “It’s nice to know my sister can still pick capable individuals~” “Sister…” Catharine muttered, still keeping a fair distance away with her bow in the drawn position. “Who the hell are you?!” So many thoughts consumed the Elf but the biggest question would have to have been how a simple Succubi could have defeated one of the strongest warriors in the territory. “Ah, I’d almost forgotten about you.” She looked up again, slowly walking over to the frightened hunter. “You will do wonderfully as well~” “No stay-“ Before her sentence could be finished the demon was upon her, ready to strike. “You will make such lovely toys~” As Vicky placed her hand on the elf she magically vanished. “Oh dear, I didn’t think you would show up just yet…” “Victoria.” The woman stated, now standing in front of the Succubi. “Lord Elizabeth!” Catharine yelled, finding herself next to a small Lich adorned in a dark violet cloak. “Samantha, take both Diana and Catharine back to the castle.” “As you wish.” With a short, swift chant everyone except the two demons quickly vanished from the field. The quiet wind now picked up, causing the trees to echo sounds throughout the forest. The two demons stared at each other for several minutes before Victoria spoke first. “Oh dear sister, how many years has it been?” The wicked Succubi began. “Quite a few it seems.” A small smile featured the Lord’s lips. “My own servants this time? Isn’t that usually your late game card?” “I had to do something drastic to grab your attention this time~” “Are you still set on playing such a pointless game?” Elizabeth watched as Victoria summoned a small glass chessboard. The chessboard featured a clear glass set on Elizabeth’s side and a misty glass set on Victoria’s side. The pieces were set from the beginning with only a single piece moved: A pawn on Victoria’s side that had been knocked over. “Mother always said to play until someone won, I intend to see that happen.” The Lord laughed a little. “Indeed, I’m tired of our constant draws.” “Then let’s play~” “Let’s.” As those words echoed in the air the two women disappeared instantly. Prisoners of Kylehythe Part One: Description of Location- Below the peaceful city of Nythslenor lies it’s famous prison, Kylehythe. Created thousands of years ago by an ancient Lord, it is used to hold only the most fearsome criminals from across the north. A small facility located in the center of town leads over a mile down into the stone complex. Although the walls of the prison are made of simple granite, several powerful magical enchantments have been placed over the walls and around the entire facility, sealing it tightly. There are no security forces in the main prison, only a group of elite warriors and mages that send down supplies, carry new prisoners to the complex and guard the entrance. There are three different areas: “The Bars”, Solitary Confinement and “Sinner’s Release”. “The Bars” is simply the main area most inmates sleep, eat, etc. It houses the majority of the criminals. Solitary Confinement is where those who actually regret their actions hide and try to repent on their own terms. This section is small contains less than one percent of the entire prison population. “Sinner’s Release” is where the most severe inmates are held. Beings who have committed crimes so atrocious that not even normal criminals wish to be near them gather here and use their time however they see fit. Facts and Rumors about the Prison: - Despite being founded by an ancient lord the prison has been in constant by every lord since it’s founding. The guards of the facility come from generations upon generations of the first five families that guarded the prison. - According to the records inside the guard house over 4, 651 recorded attempts have been made to escape and zero successful escapes. Some say that certain recorded “Attempts” have been removed through the ages for various reasons but these rumors have not been proven true yet. - Inside “Sinner’s Release” is said to be a place that only those who are wanted throughout the entire island are kept. Individuals who have committed crimes so unspeakable that most of their existence has been whipped from the history books. Some call it “Irkalla” while it’s more well known name is “Pandemonium”. Part Two: "The Forgotten Succubi" The halls of Pandemonium were filled with water, covering only a few inches above the floor. A lone figure strolled through the hall and glanced at each cell they pasted. Beings of unspeakable horror occupied each room and watched as the individual passed, studying them closely. After a few moments one captive horror darted from their cell and lunged, piercing only the air that once surrounded the figure. The creature frantically searched but it was far too late, the being was already behind them. In moments it was over and the creature stood their, paralysed by an unseen force. The figure smiled before forcing it to kneel before them and beheading it with a simple flip of their wrist. As the lifeless body was tossed aside the other creatures moved back farther into their cells except one. A lone succubus sitting in the farthest cell began to laugh. “It has been ages since I’ve seen a proper execution.” She stated, her voice making the air around her cold. “It has been ages since we have last met.” The figure replied as they stood before the creature. “What do I owe the pleasure, my lord?” The succubi said while playing with a lone string. “The games have started again, I need my assistant once more.” The individual held out their hand, fading the bars of the cell. “Will you serve me again, Jinan?” The demon bowed before the being, raising her head. “Please, call me Astra.” “Very well, Astra.” A dark smile enveloped her lips. “Show me your power hasn’t weakened.” Astra stood up and walked into the center of the hall, extending her arm out and chanted a few words. The surrounding walls begin to shake until a portal forms in front of the demon. “Very good.” The figure stated, walking over to the entrance of the new portal. “Creatures of the deep, hear me.” The horrors of pandemonium stirred, gathering close to see what was to be said. “You are mere puppets and I am your puppet master. Perform my will everywhere and your freedom is assured. Go.” With that the creatures flooded the portal and disappeared, leaving the festering pit of Kylehythe deserted and empty. “Let us be off, we have much to do.” The figured stated. “Of course, Lord Victoria.” As the portal closed, the two girls vanished and the halls of pandemonium became completely silent while the rest of Kylehythe became consumed in hell. (Thanks to Victoria, the monsters locked away beneath “Pandemonium” are free to wander the world and create havoc. It is unknown the number of prisoners released but it is known that they are all extremely dangerous and ruthless. A warning has been issued throughout the Kingdom stating “Several dangerous creatures roam wild, do not travel unless highly protected or extremely skilled” as well as Elven and Amazonian patrols being tripled.) Current Events The Incident at Razna's Rest Part One: "Incident Report" Incident Report: “Expedition to Razna’s Rest” According to a recent scout report, several bodies along with a newly discovered tomb were found near the outskirts of Westholm. After a recent expedition was allowed from Westholm and no communication was received for over a month a scout party was organized and headed out to investigate the situation. Upon arrival, the elven group discovered that an arachnid named Anna had gone insane and killed the rest of the group. Several attempts were made to subdue without lethal force but after those failed, the group was forced to subdue the spider. Additional recon around the camp produced the bodies of Matthew, a human male, and Jess, an Amazoness. Once cleanup and recovery concluded, the group investigated the tomb. The door was tightly shut but with some force they managed to pry it open. The barrow opened into an expansive chamber and continued down with several chambers leading to various parts. A small trail of dried blood led the group deeper into an antechamber where they found the body of the group leader Amilia, an elf. The woman appeared to have bled out by some sort of altar. It should also be noted that two types of blood were found on the altar: Amazon and Elven. Her remains along with the others were carefully brought back to Westholm for examination. The journal and all other evidence was gathered and organized carefully. It should also be noted that no inclusive cause was determined for the Arachnid’s sudden loss in sanity and will be noted in further patrols of the surrounding area. All current information is to be sent directly to Lord Elizabeth. Below is the journal recovered from the scene: “Westholm Expedition, Day 1 Finally! Several weeks of fighting, filling out form after form and requesting the clear from the Dean of Affairs several times, the Archeological expedition to the newly discovered tomb has been approved! My colleagues Matthew and Jess are ecstatic and quickly prepped for tomorrow. Anna, Matthew’s wife, was concerned so she requested to accompany us on this trip. I personally had no problem with it while Jess had doubts but I reassured her that no problems would arise. Honestly, it’s hard to sleep with this rush of adrenaline keeping me awake. What secrets could the tomb be holding? I can’t wait! Westholm Expedition, Day 4 Travel to the tomb took longer than expected but this was expected and planned for accordingly. Once base camp was set Anna took charge of cooking while Jess stood watch. I and Matthew proceeded to the site to get a small glimpse before our proper excavation tomorrow. The tomb was well concealed and must have been made with the intention of hiding it as much as possible. Trees as old as the site covered the mound top with moss and grass covered the otherwise exposed areas the trees didn’t. The stone doors were worn and at one time featured something that may have been a dragon. There was also writing along the door which I attempted to translate as best I could, deriving that this was in fact an ancient crypt dedicated to someone of high status. The sun set quickly, forcing us to wait until tomorrow to continue. Westholm Expedition, Day 5 With everyone present, we set out to the site once again. Anna opted to stay back and watch the camp. Jess escorted us for additional assistance and protection if needed. Setup was quick and after procuring paper rubbings from key areas on the door I allowed Jess to open it. It wasn’t a huge surprise that the door was tightly sealed but, for Jess, this was no problem. After a few minutes of shoulder slams and pushing, the door slowly opened. Sunlight filled the expansive room and illuminated several glyphs carved into the walls. We waited a few moments for the tomb to fill with fresh air before proceeding. Jess took point while me and Matthew stayed behind her. The room was large and mostly empty with four columns holding up the main central support. Each wall was covered in pictures and glyphs just waiting to be translated. The room was lower than the entrance so stairs took you down into the main part while across the way led down lower into the tomb. Once Jess took a look around and cleared it we began examining the room. Matthew instantly began jotting down sketches of the room while I began deciphering the walls. The wall featured both pictographs and some type of characters, indicating a very early form of draconic language. My knowledge of Draconic isn’t much but I jotted down what I could. The tomb was constructed as a testament to the Dragon Empire before the Dragon Wars. It featured the rise of the Dragon Empire and how it operated at its peak. Several reliefs of the past Dragon Lords were on the walls, including Dragon Lord Akuma. It was fascinating to see this much information about Draconic culture still existing. I slowly jotted down everything I could see. Hours had passed before we decided to stop for lunch. Upon exiting the tomb we saw Anna waiting for us near the entrance. She seemed more paranoid and erratic than usual which slightly bothered me. Matthew walked over to her and tried to calm her but she just kept going on about wanting Matthew to stay with her at camp. He nodded and headed back with her to camp while me and Jess ate and went back to work in the tomb. After translating more of the writings and jotting down some well made sketches, me and Jess headed back to camp for dinner. Once we arrived back Matthew greeted me with a fresh bowl of stew and proceeded to ask me questions about what else I had discovered. I showed him my sketches and notes and he got quite excited. After Matthew cleaned up I asked him about Anna. He couldn’t tell me much other than she was more paranoid than usual and wouldn’t stop mentioning something called “Netopyth”. With that, I let him get to sleep while I pondered what that could possibly mean. Westholm Expedition, Day 9 Excavation of the tomb has been slow but steady over the past few days. Matthew and I had made great progress with translating the writing found on the walls but as the days progressed Anna had become more persistent that Matthew left the site earlier and earlier until she wouldn’t allow him to leave at all this morning. I and Jess tried to talk with her but she simply yelled some gibberish and threw things at Jess. I held back Jess while Matthew calmed down Anna. After a few words with Jess and I, Matthew decided to stay back and work with. I didn’t like that I wouldn’t have Matthew’s help today but it couldn’t be helped. As we left I had a strange feeling of dread but shook it off as paranoia. As we proceeded into the tomb I decided I would head down further than usual. Lighting a torch, me and Jess made our way down into the antechamber. As we crossed the threshold I became awestruck at the beauty carved pictures and detailed art. It appeared that this chamber was give special detail compared to the first chamber. In the center of the room was an altar with three bowls placed in a clear line. Across from the altar appeared to be the door to the main chamber. Jess attempted to open it with no results. I walked over to the altar again and examined it closer. It seemed you had to pour some sort of particular liquid into each bowl to open the door. The only clue was a plaque covered in Draconic writing which simply stated: Let it been known that: Those who betray their honor call this Paradise, Those who weave lies call this Nirvana, Those who feed cowardice call this Shangri-La. By the right of Honor, Truth and Courage shall those who call this home be sealed, Until the blood is repaid and all is forgiven. From the tone of the writer it appeared that this wasn’t exactly as it first appeared to be. Whoever this tomb was meant for appeared to have committed a very serious crime and paid for it with their life. We spent several hours examining and jotting down notes on everything that was there before heading out to check on Matthew and Anna. As we left the tomb we heard a sharp cry for help and instantly started running towards camp. It continued until we reached camp, stopping as we arrived to find that the camp was in ruins and Anna was crying near Matthew’s tent. Jess drew her sword while I moved closer to Anna and asked what happened. She was whispering something I couldn’t quite understand so I moved closer until I was only a few meters away from her. I asked her again what happened to camp and where Matthew was. Anna slowly stood up and turned around. Anna had tears streaming from her eyes and a twisted smile on her face. I was overcome with complete horror as I saw what Anna held in her hands: Matthew’s severed head. Anna kept saying “Matthew tried to stop Netopyth… He had to be dealt with...” while stroking his hair. I tried to back away but found myself completely paralyzed in fear. Anna then stopped stroking his hair and pulled out a knife, stating “Netopyth also said you need to be punished…” I struggled to move but my legs refused to move, completely frozen in place. As Anna assaulted me Jess intervened and pulled me back, placing me behind her. Anna roared in anger and charged at us. Jess parried her knife shot and pushed her back, telling me to run. I bolted towards the ruins with Jess behind me and Anna hot on our tail. As we reached the ruins I asked what we were going to do. Jess told me to get into the ruins and hide. I ran in but turned to see Jess sealing the door from the outside. I tried to stop her but she simply smiled and closed it before I could say a single thing. I screamed and attempted to open the door to no avail. I screamed and beat the door for several minutes before slowly losing consciousness. Westholm Expedition, Day 10? After awakening to darkness and utter dread I located one of the spare torches and lit it. The large door to the tomb was still shut, loosening the last bit of hope I had for escape. I walked down to the antechamber and slumped against the altar. The hopelessness of the situation flooded over me as I stared up at the ceiling. I didn’t know what to do… Eventually, I drifted off to sleep. I don’t know how long I was out but my dreams began to become bizarre. I found myself wandering the halls of this tomb before it was completed. Elven and Amazonian slaves craved the dragon’s lore into the walls while dragons drafted out how it would be designed. Suddenly, everyone stopped as a group of Dragons led a single Jabberwock covered in chains. They escorted her all the way down to the main antechamber and placed her before the altar. They spoke in Draconic but I could understand them. They stated she had committed several crimes including betraying her own kind to the other races by delivering troop movements and such. The Jabberwock stood in silence and admitted to all of it, stating “I would do it all again if it would end this cruel empire”. The dragons simply scoffed and sentenced her to be imprisoned within this tomb for eternity. Just as they ruled a lone elven girl ran in, screaming for them to release her. The guards held her back while the Jabberwock simply turned and said “Fear not Netopyh, I shall return someday.” before being dragged into the main chamber and sealed away. Westholm Expedition, Day ??? My eyes slowly opened and were greeted with the sight of a pale young girl floating before me. I didn’t know what was going on but I didn’t care… Razna needs me… It is finally time… I shall be with you soon my love… Just one more… Part Two: "Awakening" The winds stirred as a faint light shimmered within the tomb. In a bright, brief flash formed two individuals. The first was the Lord of the Forest, Elizabeth, accompanied by her advisor, Samantha. The Lich created a ball of light and pushed it to the center of chamber, illuminating the glyphs that covered the opening chamber. “Ah, magnificent.” Elizabeth muttered, examining the pictures. “To think such a prize was under my nose this entire time…” “We should proceed quickly my lord.” Samantha stated. “Right right, plenty of time to look at these later.” The two of them made their way deeper into the tomb until they reached the antechamber. Elizabeth walked up to the central pedestal and nicked her finger, dropping a single drop of blood into the bowl. “Samantha.” The lord called. “Yes my lord?” “Before I begin will you restrain our guest? She is a bit unwieldy.” “At once, my lord.” The lich’s hand began to glow as she waved something towards the wall. Out of the empty space materialized a small ghost. “How did yo-” Before she could finish the ethereal being was thrown to the wall and restrained there with magic locks. “Keep silent or I will silence you.” The lich responded before turning back to Elizabeth. “You are free to continue my lord.” “Excellent.” She smiled then began to chant softly for a minute. The alters glowed as the blood in them started to move towards the door. Once all the blood fused with the stone Elizabeth stopped and uttered a single phrase. “I, Elizabeth, forgive you, Razna, of your crimes.” As those words echoed through the room the stone doors slowly swing open. Elizabeth and Samantha slowly entered the main chamber. Before them sat a single coffin, tightly sealed by restraints made of a clear type of crystal. As they stood before the coffin the crystal slowly cracked and shattered to pieces. The cover of the coffin slid away, revealing a magnificent sight. Laying inside was an ancient Jabberwocky. Her strength and energy flooded the room and nearly matched that of Lord Elizabeth’s herself. Her features matched that of your average Jabberwock but with minor differences including a broken horn, black tattoos covering the right side of her body and darker red hair. A simple yet hardened suit of armor hid her features along with a large sword resting next to her. “At last…” Elizabeth stated as a smile formed across her lips. As the words left the lord's lips, Razna opened her eyes. She was slow rose and stood before the Lord of the Forest. “Where… Where am I?” The draconic creature stated. “You are free.” Elizabeth replied. “Free…?” Razna looks around for a few moments then turns to the lord of the forest. “Who are you and why did you free me?” Elizabeth smiles and responds. “I am Elizabeth, current lord of this land and as for why I released you… That’s rather complicated.” “Considering your presence here it must have something to do with my late lord.” “Observant.” Elizabeth smirked and turned, opening a portal inside the chamber. “Come, I’ll discuss everything in depth at the capitol.” “Why should I follow? You stated that I am free so what inclines me to follow?” The Jabberwock replied. “Nothing really. I simply assumed you would like to hear me out since I released you.” Razna thought for a moment and nodded. “I shall hear you out as you did release me but…” “Yes?” Razna slowly walked out of the chamber to the ghost who still hung against the wall. “Netopyth… No, it was once Jasmine wasn’t it?” Razna responded. “You still remember…” The ghost responded. “I thought you had forgotten me…” “I never forgot you.” She smiled, as she pulled the enchanted restraints off and embraced the ghost. “I could never forget you, my sweet jasmine.” “T-Thank you my lord…” The ghost couldn’t help but cry in her arms. “Now rest, you deserve nothing less than peace.” Razna placed her hand on the ghosts head as she slowly faded from existence. With that, Razna turned and joined the Lord of the Forest once more. “I am ready now.” “You first then~” Elizabeth gestured, allowing Razna to enter the portal first. The jabberwock obliged and entered. “Impossible…” Samantha muttered. “Those chains were made of pure magic…” “That is the strength of General Razna, Conqueror of the North and Crusher of Stars.” Elizabeth added as they both followed after as the portal closed behind them, leaving the tomb silence once again. |
