Akio you beast :p

Actually, if he marked her now, it would be his..well figuratively speaking anyways. I also found this long quote from the chapter to be pretty noticeable:

You see, that kinda of smile and eerieness from Yoshino is just the way for author to cautious the reader. Totally unneeded and the impact would be actually greater if it's subtle. Every time I read a romance manga, if it makes me feel that something is deliberately shown, it breaks the immersion.

I get it, you really want the story to take a turn in this direction.

I don't get how it went from the end of ch15, with Akio having been crushed mentally, to him being calmly persuaded to keep going with the relationship. Yoshino even backtracked on what she'd supposedly just said about him being stupid IN THE SAME 3CH CONVERSATION. I swear the author went for some kind of 'intellectual talk in circles romance', with real human characters, only to forget to add the human characters part. They act like aliens.

I thought Akio was going to show some balls by dumping Yoshino after ch15's "you're crazy..." response. But no: he just sat there, passive as ever, and got played. Even after realising what the smile went. In the end, it was him that got dumped due to being too pathetic to act. Anyone normal would've slapped the crazy bitch and just left.

About Yoshino's lips / eerie faces: that's the one aspect I've liked about the art. Obvious, yes, but it ties into what you said in the ch15 thread about Yoshino's true, ugly self. Those lips highlight her true self showing through; her facade vanishing. I don't think it would've worked as well just through text.

Well, it could be just me. Whenever something happened in the way I didn't expect or in a way that surprise me, I'll go back to reread to understand where the characters are coming from.

It was obvious that Akio is the back up plan for Yoshino if things doesn't work out with that old guy. It's either that or she's still horny and wanted another go. Wait, there could still be this slight possibility that Yoshino couldn't handle being dumped or she needs to be the one in control and making decision.

Akio lacking balls here is disappointing.

This manga won't end well at all, even if both of them got back at the end or something. Yoshino is essentially a fucking time bomb and never love Akio for any traits associated with him. There's nothing to stop Yoshino from pulling Saga number 2 with another love in first sight.

We kind of knew this was garbage from the beginning. If you want to know how to write drama read Nozoki Ana. That's drama my friend and nicely done. Character driven story. Excellent plot. Chapter 116 is a real gut punch but awesome none the less.
