So with the recent showings of the movie's dub, my brother and I went to check it out at our local theater. When we were in line, a couple of hardcore fans behind us were already discussing the movie quite loudly without a care in the world. Instead of making a scene and telling them to nicely SHUT THE FUCK UP, we decided to attempt to distance ourselves from them as soon as we scoped out some seats in the theater room. We sat five rows from the front to get the best experience possible and planned to either hop a row forward or backwards depending on where the loud people sat.

Alas, we didn't have to worry about that because they went ahead and plopped down in the very back row. However, that made not a single difference because during the entire movie they were unreasonably loud and over-expressive. Going "HAHAHAHAHA!" during the slightly funny scenes, "Ohhh man it's about to get real! Here it comes!" *intense scene happens* "WHOAAAA DID YOU SEE THAT?!". Yeah. I wanted to turn around and yell BE QUIET YOU WEEABOO'S (no offense to any of you), but I avoided that kind of conflict. My brother yelled shut up a few times but nothing changed. They were ruining the experience for us and a few others in the theater, causing others to hop rows forward due to their loudness.

Meanwhile in the very front row there sat a lonely, single guy. He brought his own food and everything and was quiet for a good chunk of the movie. Occasionally, he would yell "HA!" or "WHAT?!" which wasn't AS bad as the people in the back, but still ruined the immersion. When he was exiting the theater behind us he was on his phone and said "Oh my Super Saiyan God that movie was quite the theatrical experience!". These are the type of people that were in the theater.

How was everyone else's experiences? Better than mine I'm hoping.

Mine was quite pleasant! Luckily there weren't any of those loud people in my theatre. It was quite fun to see a anime movie with other people who also would laugh out loud instead of the usual solo watching im used to.
Plus seeing it on the big screen was awesome!

I was surprised at the turnout but I was also scared of most of the people in the room

Mixed feelings for me. I went to the Lufkin Mall showing in Texas today. Didn't think we would get a full theater but we did. The trailers play but it turns out they had the wrong movie playing. So we had to wait 30 minutes or so before they got the right movie on the screen. Plus the video was partially off the screen but didn't ruin the experience that much. Still enjoyed the dub a lot. Plus during the 30 minute wait we has a lot of fun with random people just making jokes and referencing DBZ. Felt similar to waiting in line at a convention.

Overall I didn't expect a huge amount of quality from a mall theater, at least not Lufkin Mall in particular. So overall it was decent, and the movie was super fun to watch on the big screen dubbed.
