| Excellent chapter all around! The Touka x Uka moments were wonderful! I really wondered if they did kiss and it was just one of those not-quite-shown ones... I don't know why the mangaka would do that, though, so I guess it was just a near-miss... I love that the two of them have fully acknowledged their feelings for each other. I can see some heavy stuff on the horizon, though... for both couples. On the Inari x Kouji front: I am glad that Kouji apologized for being such a dick head the day before. I'm also glad that Inari didn't try to force the issue about his mom's new boyfriend, since that might send Kouji into a funk and make him avoid her again. He really does need to deal with that on his own and in his own time. I hope that, on their date, he makes the right choice and decides to talk to Inari about it, then she can tell him she saw them together and wondered about it and they can discuss the whole concept. I would also love to see Uka talk with Inari about the limitations of the gods and how some people may blame the gods for things that happen, even if it is all cryptic and talking around the subject of Kouji's little "why didn't the gods protect my father" thing. That could be the biggest stumbling block in his and Inari's relationship at this point, since she is, very technically, currently a goddess of sorts and, most likely, becoming more so each day... I can see him getting angry at her as sort of a representative of the gods and their relationship suffering because of it and Inari going into another little disappearing fit like she did at the end of chapter 40... For as simple as this story is, there sure is a ton of stuff going on in it. I really want to know what's up with Inari fading out like that... |
