| I think it's because Hyourinmaru's and Shiro-chan's bond was so strong. He would have never betrayed his master if he had his memories. They were very close to each other, so the only way for Muramasa to get Hyourinmaru was to delete his memories. Their bond is so touching. Episode 239 was wonderful. |
| Pretty much what Homunkulas says. Because of their close bond, Muramasa decided to erase his memories as he is such a loyal Zanpukuto, and probably wouldn't betray Hitsugaya otherwise. ^^ |
