Ah, a bit of morals comes into play this chapter.

>Life of comrades more important than a job.
I think I heard that somewhere before. What a tense chapter though.

Well, Stealth Symphony has outlived Iron Knight and are still running. Atleast that's good news. Second week in a row being ahead of iShoujo, also good news considering three series are set to debut in the next three weeks and one more series will likely be cancelled by the end of it.

Slice was great in this chapter, causing that misunderstanding with Alice and even shooting at her.

The tension towards the end was great, did Troma lose his arm there?

Things are still happening a little fast though, we don't even know what happened with Jig last chapter yet.

Felt slower to me this time around, we got some information exposition.. but most was already know. I guess the head of the advertising company could be a villain in the future if SS survives.

And a battle start, crazy panels again!

Yeah it feels like it's already the final fight. And it probably is.

God dammit, japan. I think it would have succeeded in another magazine.

Damn. Jig's being a crazy buttface. Troma's kinda being a buttface. What a nice way to end a chapter (゜▽゜;)

Really looking forward to next week!

Sadly both this and Ishojo are going to get chopped next. If 2 of the new 3 + Hinomaru Zumou do good Soul Catcher (S) and Illegal Rare will be next killed unless we get a super bomber like Tokyo Wonder Boys in the batch again.

Really sad to see how expansive the world could of been if the series wasn't forced to go into overdrive to try to tie up the story.

Soul Catcher(s) was transferred to Jump NEXT so it's already considered cancelled in terms of Wsj releases.

In terms of this series getting cancelled, about a 40% chance in the next three weeks along with iShoujo having a slightly higher chance. After the next 11 weeks it will have to consistently beat Hinomaru or one of the three new releases in the rankings and coast atleast a place above the bottom.
Of course depending on how Jump works it out, these two and Illegal Rare could all go in the next three weeks.

Not sure why everyone is saying SS is canceled after this particular chapter. All the arc is up in the air, the only thing getting resolved here is the About That Invisible Man sub arc, not the whole dragon invasion arc. Of course it can end open, most canceled series do, but not because this feels like ending.

I swear, if I get the final confirmation that Stealth Symphony is cancelled, I'm losing all faith in Weekly Shonen Jump as a manga magazine and distributor.

How do you treat a series with so many great character designs, amazing world building potential, even more amazing character and plot developments and overall freshness like such shit?

What makes it worse is that something bland and generally unexciting like World Trigger is still going 65 chapters strong. And what's even WORSE is that it's even gotten an anime adaption!

She screaming: "Don't let me slip"
She see the tears in my eyes, I see the fear on her lips"

Jump bases what survives greatly on both Reader Surveys and Sales of the volumes. Since it's release SS has only once been out of the bottom 3 spots in the surveys. World Trigger on the other hand since this year has started is generally in the middle of the pack with a few 5th place spots throughout the year.

Heh, another character who had come from Japan, eh? This chapter does easily explain how dragons came about, although certainly not from any source I would have anticipated. But wow, Sieg sure has changed in these brief collection of chapters.

Shueisha has started a trend of transferring unpopular Manga to other magazines so I don't think there's a reason to really lose faith. Now I think we should be taking the fact reader polls next week are from the chapter that Slice was introduced, which should give it a boost in popularity. Another note about potential cancellation, this is the only one of the four series thus far that hasn't released it's first volume yet despite debuting a week before Tokyo Wonder Boys, in the next four weeks before the first volume is released we may see some support in terms of volume sales.

With each chapter I read, I grow more and more frustrated. It's becoming glaringly apparent to me that if given the proper room, this couldn't have just been good, it could've been great. There's a feel of vastness to it. A whole load of characters with their own agendas in a contained setting. It's a brash approach, but an effective one (like in Baccano.) The moral ambiguity is also challenging and thrilling. Jig and Troma play out as major characters but you can never pin clear labels on them. To an extent, they are rather interesting anti-heroes.

I'm just pissed 'cause I know I won't give this manga the high score it deserves. I won't attack WSJ for it's inherently faulty rating system, but rather the kids who rated it low. Sigh. Idk. Maybe this shouldn't have been on a shounen magazine to begin with. So many bad calls...
