This is the full ED theme for the first few episodes of Sengoku Basara 2.

My knowledge regarding Japanese in general is terribly lacking and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone pronounce Japanese in the manner in which the ED theme for Sengoku Basara 2 is sung.

Is it a particular dialect of Japanese specific to a region or just a chosen pronunciation by the singer?

Thanks in advance as I'm really curious, for the most part I can tell when it's just fluctuating enunciation of words as with any language in song but this sounds... uniquely different. Not to offend anyone but I almost thought this to potentially be the Japanese equivalent of a "gay lisp"... Way off the mark? I mean, perhaps "gay lisp" isn't appropriate for the situation but it sounds very different from most male singing I've heard from any Japanese singer and a gay lisp was the first thing I was reminded by of it.
