Since defending or fighting back is quite obviously not an option against a strong (and fire-breathing) giant, and running from something that can fly is a little pointless as well, you decide to hide in an uderground cave too small for the dragon to get through, but it tears at the rocks in the entrance and fishes you out. As you're pulled out you fight for your life, grabbing onto anything to stay on the ground, letting go of the cheese because your life means a lot more to you than something that won't even work as a distraction. I wait for the stuggle to move away to another location, go down the reamins of the cave and find the piece of cheese miraculously safe despite everything it has been through. Now I have the cheese. |
