THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So the message is Moonlight. Sure, whatever. I won't complain since a friend of mine loves her, but man, this is random as hell.

Anyway, the episode itself was pretty good. Seeing Hime all flustered and socially awkward like this was cute, and it was nice to see her slowly get over the problem instead of magically being fully cured in 20 minutes. It makes Blue look dumb, sure, but hey. Plus, Megumi APOLOGIZED! Watch and learn, Mana, you can't force others to follow your pace all the damn time. the ninja costume was neat too, they're using this card gimmick pretty well. Let's just hope they handle Yuuko joining well and won't rush it too badly just to have her in New Stage 3. My only plot complaint: the preview had Fortune there like she was going to do a thing and she just cameo-ed for five seconds, TOEI!

As for the fight, first a big fat FAIL for not shortening at all the transformations. Way to waste almost two minutes and a half of an episode. That aside it was good, Hime powered up as she got resolve, did cool things, Megumi's only appearance was short and SHE FREAKING BEAT UP THE TERRIBAD WITH TWO KINDABADS, Sherbet Ballet was cool pun not intended, and Hime got the kill again! If I had to complain it'd be about Megumi randomly getting a new costume when it was a Hime ep, but then again Hime got this last ep and that one was about Megumi, so whatever.

Preview: More costumes! More Hosshiiwa! Awesome!

Start with Moonlight...at least she won't appear again :P
It wasn't bad episode but nothing special too.

Megumi is basically Mana, Hime is weird (I get that she might be shy but too exaggerated to my taste, still around episode 20 it will be forgotten) and that bloke is one sane man in the team - at least till Yuuko joins, which should happen as quickly as possible.
Teacher hiding in storage room - it was kind of creepy but ok, once I can forgive.

At least fight was fine - even if that Ballet was too short/dull compared to what we had last episode.

In the end: 3/5 and still have no idea how it will develop.Good parts, mixed with bad and MC that could sink this ship down.

Oh God. I freaking loved this episode. I can relate to Hime so freaking hard. I even wrote an analysis on the events of episode 4 here on my LiveJournal account: http://joyousmenma93.livejournal.com/151608.html

Screw those who dislike Moonlight. She is awesome and the strongest(without any powerup).

Well, the episode itself wasn't all that interesting. I can relate to Hime's trouble with making friend though.

Favorite part of the episode is probably Lovely beating a motherfucker with another motherfucker.

1. i usually don't watch shows like this cuz it's aimed at the younger generations. but i gotta say, that scene with hime in that sports shed with the background music was intense & deep.

2. i guess i'll keep watching. i just end up watching the 1st half and skipping the 2nd half battle scenes cuz i already know they're gonna win.

Yes! Boooooo to those that dislike Moonlight. That's a girl that demands respect, no matter who you are.

I thought Hime's new transfer student schtick was pretty hilarious, sensible, and downright adorable. Even the episode's prolouge was a funny scene in it's own right because she thought the uniform was just cosplay or something until Blue told her otherwise (lol).

Agreed about Cure Lovely saving Cure Princess's ass by beating the Saiark with it's own mooks. I haven't seen that trope in a long while!

My personal thoughts: I still like the way Megumi is being written as a supporting protagonist with Hime being the supported. Of course, Megumi could possibly become Mana Sue number 2 down the line, but it's certainly not looking like it at this rate. I say this because she was being too pushy (like Mana always is) and got called out for it; thank you Seiji! See Rikka? It's not so hard to keep a loved one's impulses under control :D. Yuuko has also been formally introduced (finally), but I need to see her become Cure Honey soon because I'm tired of her cameo-esque appearances already! She's still cool, though.

Addendum:

Awwwwww, don't be like that. It's the fight itself that's interesting and fun to watch, not the victory. If you're going to skip them all like that, you're better off watching a pure Slice of Life show.

megumi actully show some flows in this episode she has a tendency to force people to do things they don't want to. She has good intentions, but doesn't quite get that her pushiness only makes the situation worse and make the person feel even more scared

But that's basically what Mana was doing - at least Seiji said it to her, this is different I agree. Still since it's Precure she will continue doing this.
That is why Yuuko is needed here.

Mana never ever apologized for helping others or thought for even a second she wasn't right. Megumi is nothing like Mana right now, or at least no more than your average Pink Cure.

I remember Mana apologising a couple of times for not considering the other person feeling and getting the opposite effect.
The first time I'm pretty sure happened quite early with Mako-Pi

That might be true, I guess. I remember more the late-series Mana that just steamrolled all over people's feelings.

Why does it even matter which Precure does the anniversery thing? They will get through all of them...

Lovely beating up the Terribad with the Kindabads was awesome. The depiction of Hime's social anxiety was nice too. Though it was kind of weird that the teacher just left her in the gym storeroom, like she was allowed to be there during school hours or something.

I don't mind seeing the full transformations. I hate that they (once again) "combined" them just be splitting the screen this season. If they are going to half ass group transformations I would rather see the full single ones. It did take up a minute or so of the episode that it didn't need to though.

And how about we all just forget DokiDoki ever happened instead of comparing the characters every episode?

YAY, Moonlight! ^^ Beautiful and classy as ever. Is it just me, or did they skip one frame when she's leaning in? She "jumps" from one pose to another abruptly.

"My body wasn't ready yet", lol. Even translators are taking it easy. Yellow Cures aren't my cup of tea usually but damn, Yuuko is so cool in her own way I want to be her friend myself! I hope she will keep that Team Mom/Big Sister appearance. The scenes where she is dealing with Hime though... remind me of taming so much ^^'

And hey, they finally fixed Lovely's pose!

I think I liked this episode so much because Hime totally reminds me of how I act when I try to do anything involving speaking to people. And then the suliking and that moment of realization that being like that wasn't going to help or change anything was perfect for me. Also, I was really hoping for Marine, so I was a tad sad when it was Moonlight, but she looked beautifully animated so I wasn't really that upset.

To be honest I was expecting Marine myself because I was sure she wins popularity polls from Heartcatch. I knew Moonlight is high but wouldn't say she's first. But I find it fun to guess each time who's going to show up ^^ Right now I'm putting my money on Muse, maybe Beat (yeah, I'm expecting Suite now).

Really liked this episode, nothing great but it was nice, loved Moonlight at the start, I say Beat or Peace for next chapter.

I loved the ninja costume, funny and it was nice, hope they keep the costumes as it goes.

The ballet was nice but if they keep up with the dance transformation per episode they will end up using metal in 30 episodes or something (?)

BTW, they don't have like 2 chapters to introduce Honey?

Ooh, and I need the gif of Lovely punching the Saiark withthe little guys.

Marine was my favorite from Heartcatch, which is why I really wanted to see her. I also think Muse would be a good one from Suite if it's next (which seems likely).

I was thinking that too, ahha. Because she is in the movie, so they kind of have to introduce her by next Saturday.

This episode was very enjoyable.

First off, Precures can become ninjas. That is jus awesome. Also I like how this episode show's that Hime is a little different from Erika. Seeing as they are both blue, into fashion, and hipper, but this did show us the Hime has problems around people. While Erika seem's to get along with people very well.

The lesson was also very good.

Moonlight!!

Pretty enjoyable episode! Seems Hime needs work on her social skills XD

Also i'm surprised she didn't freak out when the teacher was there in the same room all alone.

Still glad to see some Cure Princess action!!

Yuuko seems to love giving candy out :)

When can we expect the other Precure to introduce herself? :D

Can't wait for more episodes!

I really liked how this episode handled social anxiety, and how Hime's bravado and hopes for friends immediately vanished when she was put in a position that triggered an anxiety attack. I also really appreciated that the message at the end wasn't just Hime saying she needed to be stronger/braver but also Megumi realizing that not everyone has the same comfort level she does, and socializing is hard for some people.

Sherbet Ballet is really cute and so was the teacher who couldn't befriend his class. Happiness Charge might just win me over on charm alone.
