shoujo sect: the manga or the OVA

When I first started reading the manga, I didn't realize that it was connected. It just seemed like a bunch of lesbian sex one shots set in a school. When the anime was being made, I started the second volume & realized there was a story.

I do like both, and they match enough that I am not upset with the adaption.

I really like the anime, I thought it was great. It was my first Hentai anime, for that matter, but... so in that aspect I can't really compare.

I really liked the way the plot developed... Initially I thought:wtf? first couple of minutes I thought is this the antipode of Marimite? It dirty parody?. But the comedy and the characters made it interesting I thought it started getting interesting with the characters.

The sisters and the little girl with crush with Kirin were interesting... although in the manga, I think they elaborate a little more the relationship with the Komai's ...

The flashbacks were great... it gave it a melancholic touch which i think brought up Shinobu's personality, and made it a lot more likeable... and also, it gave Momoko and Shinobu's a very charming contrast, and that contrast set the scenation for flirtatious scenes that I enjoyed...

I liked the story with the sensei in the anime more... in the manga: they play here more childish than sexy, but in contrast in the manga her sickness was more evident, but I rather have the anime-style Momoko's loss of innocence... ramen, miso, I am afraid of getting treated for soups now, lol.

I like the way they ended the story in the anime: that little line writen (stuck in my head of course) and the whole hide and seek re-match... I thought it was really sweet and gave the anime emotional intensity, without undermining the "hotness" (i.e. classy hotel). Also, the ending was was more open-ending-esque (if you haven't read the manga) that suited an emotional freak such as myself... but maybe not so much the hentai lover...

I think that the art in the area beyond the pantsu was pretty gross in the anime the manga was better (if that is the word, again I am no hentai expert)

Anime. In the anime there is something which called "plot". In the manga there isn't.

In the manga every chapter is just sex sex sex sex sex sex blablabla, it's awaful.

OK well it is sex sex sex... but in the anime I think the "plot" was set to make a point... it would be the analogy to Elfen Lied, where the gore was not for the sake of the gore...I think the only difference is that the manga the sex is somewhat more palatable...

just finished the manga and i enjoyed the manga a lot more then the anime as there was no noise so i didnt have to like hide in my room xD and also followed a storyline better then the anime id say

Thank you! Drives me crazy when people who claim they read the manga miss the story entirely. Yes, it is a sex manga. But if more people bothered to finish reading it, instead of getting their jollies from the pictures, they wouldn't miss the story.

I totally agree with this. I was completely floored in the anime when I started watching it and didn't vomit. Or get angry.

Even in girl x girl hentai, there's something horrid about them, and Shoujo Sect filled in those gaps. It knows that amidst all the orgies and sexual shenanigans, what makes the sex good for the viewer is that the viewer should care about who is doing it.

I loved Shinobu. In hentai land, she is a definite 10/10 for me because she has:

1. A backstory
2. Charisma
3. Deeper levels
4. Flaws
5. An endearing personality

Unlike the morons or insipid sex fiends/victims you find in hentai, Shinobu exists as a character for herself, and not for us, which is incredibly important. Unlike other hentai leads, she has motivations and more incredibly, she knows her limitations. Unlike the hentai lead who'd just end up raping or simply waits for the girl to come fall onto his di--I mean, fall into his lap, she woos Momoko and actually tries to build a romance with her. She hits on her, is actually in love with her, tries to win her over, and when she sees that nothing can be done, she steps back and lets Momoko live her life.

For a hedonist, that is a rather selfless thing to do. She's not just a cocky rebel. There's something more to her than that.

Momoko as well isn't another one of those retarded girls in hentai who you just wonder if they need bibs when they eat because they are so clearly infantile when it comes to their mentality and emotions. She's a good character. She's naive to things like love and sex, yes, but she's also got a good head on her shoulders. She's susceptible enough to get her heart broken and just quietly nurse it, as opposed to getting revenge or going batshit crazy like the other characters in hentai who are in her position.

All in all, excellent hentai. Just the art needed to be a LOT better and it could have used an extra episode so the sex scenes could be longer. It is a damn hentai after all. I'd like good sex scenes, plzthnx.

I quite liked the art work in both the manga and the anime(i think anyway in the anime.. watched it long back..)

Yeah the sex scenes where quite a dissapointment that they randomly cut the scene and went on to something else... and cencoredness in the manga and anime..so i doubt there licenced.. <.<

Well when i watched it i downloaded it subbed by killer maid, not sure where from though.. i think i downloaded it via torrent, which is the best way to get that episode although it has very little seeds (5)

I think it is funny because everyone is screaming Hentai. When I think Hentai, I think Bible Black or some such. Shoujo Sect seemed like a normal romance which didn't cut out when the bedroom doors shut. I think it more hard core Ecchi than Hentai, but then I am not an expert on these genres.

I also watched the Killer Maid subs and I found them enjoyable & uncensored.

Ah yea think i tryed to find some streams for it at first.. but i normaly download all my anime now due to the quality on streaming sites although when Divx's website was alive it was good to stream then..

Ive been watching for around 3 years now not including stuff that came on cartoon network n stuff like dragonball z

EHHH you found it uncencored? i do believe its impossible to find an uncencored version when something isnt licenced.. as even the manga has cencored parts in it

Hmm i dont think of cartoon stuff XD mostly cos i dislike it when nearly all the people i know get cartoons and anime mixed up <.< as its japanese animation..(although i think japan call most animation anime i believe..) as only a few actually know what anime is...
