| Name's Buwie. I live with 6 cats and my mother in Colorado, USA. Why did I get into Japanese? I think the main reason I wanted to learn it was to translate some doujinshi I got at a convention a year ago, but since then I've come to love the Japanese culture as a whole and hope to visit Japan someday. As well as know a language other then Spanish, German, and French. I just wanted to be different and I couldn't be different when stuck in a Spanish class. It bored me cause I had no interest. |

I was initially interested in learning Japanese bcuz I just liked the sound of the language from watching anime & i've always been very interested in the culture. I speak Spanish & have always wanted to learn another language & i thought Japanese would be interesting. I live in TX in a very rural are so i'm sure there aren't too many ppl here that can say they speak Japanese & i strive to be different!! lol I also would like to visit Japan someday & be able to communicate with the ppl. | My name is alyssa, but my nickname is Ayame cuz of me and my friend kyoko's obsession with anime and ...japan... lol. Ever since my father brought home the movie "spirited away" when i was about 6 years old, i've been hooked on getting more of Hayao Miyazaki's works and then i was introduce to Naruto, an anime i was un-healthily obsessed with. Since then i've been learning about the japanese culture and now im taking it a step further to learn the language so learning about japan is alot easier and some day i hope to visit or even move to Japan. I wanna move there with my friends, but that probably wont happen. Theres more of my favorite bands their, what can i say? >.> teehee. |

| ishida_natsuki from the philippines.. i want to watch anime without the subs... cause some DVDs have bad subs <the grammar, i mean.> and i want to buy the manga straight from their Japanese shelves coz they are quite expensive when you want them translated and shipped... i also am reading quite a few ongoing manga and i hate it when i have to wait for the subs when the raws are already out.. |

Trying to improve oral and listening then reading and writing for now. I like their cinema, food, and old style ways from long ago(clans and wars). |

| こんばんわ。 わたしのなまえはCajiasです。 I started studying Japanese when I was in high school. I took two years of language classes before transferring to another school. Then I went to college and forgot about my desire to learn the language until I graduated. Now that I have my degree, I want to save up money from my job to travel to Japan. I might even be interested in living there some day. First I would like to learn the language, so I am trying my best to remember what I learned so I can continue to advance. I know how to write in kana pretty well, but my vocabulary and grasp of proper grammar is pretty lacking. If anyone would ever like to study with me and practice speaking and writing over skype, I'd be glad to do so! よろしく！ みなさん、にほんごの べんきょう がんばってね！ |

| Hi there, Name: Short Age: 19 Although I cannot be entirely sure what it is about Japan or Japanese that i enjoy so much, I can say that it's simple enough to say that the Japanese culture and language fascinates me. I won't say that up till now I've thought or put a lot of effort into learning the language (basically i'm a complete novice who's finally realized that I seriously am finally wanting to learn) , But my interest in the language has been... 'renewed' for want of another way of saying it and I would be very glad on any help/tips that anyone could give. I am Definitely looking to find someone who's learning as well, but who wants to talk regularly and just have fun learning what we can. Thanks for reading all this way if you did! I am currently talking with another MAL member who is learning Japanese, so we might start a small learning club where we can learn together? How's your learning going? I have only started learning recently, and I'm now polishing my kana. Japanese is definitely different than learning European languages, so it will take more time.
