MAL Updater OS X 1.3 / WebOS

Unlike the Windows version, it will not be a full featured application (as I have no interest in this, and don't feel it's anything more than bloat). However, a graphical interface plug-in is in development. What it DOES do is interface with <strong>Quicktime/Perian, VLC, and mplayer</strong> (thanks Wile!) every 10 minutes to update what you're watching. The ONLY output the updater displays is through <!--link--><a href="http://growl.info">Growl notifications</a>, so you can control those as with any Growl application. If you don't have it, you'll still function but will not get notifications when it does. It also logs to a file in your installation directory. Runs every 10 minutes via launchd. Tested on Tiger and Leopard. Written in Ruby.
